To help achieve these goals Montefiore is recruiting for seasoned Supply Chain leaders to provide expertise, create efficiencies, realize financial savings, and add value for our Clinicians and Associates.

The Senior Director Project Management and Performance Engineering – Supply Chain Services will lead a team of Healthcare Performance Engineers who will be responsible for the project management and supply chain services process improvement. This position will provide project support to enterprise-wide transformation initiatives, supply chain supported projects, and other projects where support is required. The Senior Director will be responsible for the efficient completion of system wide projects that will either drive savings, efficiencies, or both. This position will also drive process improvement with end user participation resulting in greater system efficiencies, documented process maps, and required training documentation.

This position requires an experienced project management/ execution background with strong organizational and interpersonal skills. This position also requires advanced reporting, analytic, and presentation skills to communicate initiatives status at all levels of the hospital system.

SUMMARY OF DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Direct and coordinate the activities of the Project Management and Performance Engineering Teams, optimizing workload distribution, maximizing effectiveness in executing, monitoring, and closing projects.
  • Assess existing project management processes, tools, and templates. Create a strategic roadmap to develop future capabilities.
  • Review and manage work to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Cross functional planning of large clinical and nonclinical projects.
  • Develop systems and processes to track and optimize productivity, standards, metrics, ensuring projects are delivered on time.
  • Assess financial impact of current state vs. future state for projects along with the understanding of all contingencies for an accurate analysis.
  • Proactively identifies cost savings, operational improvement opportunities, and structures projects around them.
  • Coach, mentor and ensure development of team members with appropriate trainings and certifications as part of a comprehensive development plan.
  • Determine and communicate work priorities when necessary.
  • Have experience in overseeing scheduling, organizing, and operating system level meetings, including arranging with vendors for services.
  • Apply associated analytical and presentation skills to create reports, presentations, memos, and other methods of communications across the System.
  • Proven skills as a change agent and implementation of standard work.
  • Consistent track record of full life cycle delivery of projects
  • Manage a team of 10+ and able to oversee their workload and manage team performance via measurable KPI’s.
  • Ability to create and maintain strong relationships internally and externally.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work well in a complex team environment.
  • Adhere and assists with business operations and project specific quality documents (for example: SOPs, work plans/practices, training guides).
  • A highly motivated and meticulous individual with excellent problem-solving and communication skills to join a fast-paced, growth-oriented work environment in a cutting-edge field of business transformation.

EDUCATIONAL LEVEL:

  • BS or Business Administration Degree
  • Minimum of five (5) years’ project management experience preferably in healthcare environment/operations 
  • P.M.P (preferred).Lean or Six Sigma Belt (preferred) 
  • MS office suite
  • ERP and current supply chain information systems

KNOWLEDGEABLE IN:

  • Healthcare Supply Chain Management
  • Project Management and Process Engineering
  • Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word
  • Accounting principles, cost analysis, budgeting, forecasting, market and supplier research and analysis
