Role Purpose:
To design, develop, and implement Always On Marketing (AoM) actions and campaigns, ensuring high-quality, right-first-time delivery and seamless deployment to production environments. This role demands a strong understanding of campaign management platforms, the ability to leverage data-driven decision-making, and problem-solving skills to create effective omnichannel customer experiences.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership:
- Translates messaging requirements from business stakeholders into decisioning strategy design.
- Designs, builds and tests data-driven decision-making strategies and customer segments to enable seamless Always On Marketing (AoM) and outbound campaigns that align with business objectives.
- Configure the decisioning tool channel templates with the right data to support the presentation of copy, content and personalisation in customer facing channels - For example, this could be in emails, text messages, app notifications, and so on.
- Helps business stakeholders understand any operational decisioning queries (e.g. why certain customers received certain communications).
- Create, update, and maintain comprehensive process documentation, ensuring a persistent knowledge base is available for current and future developers, contributing to continuous learning and development within the team.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience:
- Proficiency in Campaign Management Tools: Expert in the use of campaign management software, such as Pega (preferred), Unica, Chordiant, Adobe Campaign, etc. This includes a robust understanding of tool-specific features, capabilities and best practices for optimizing campaign effectiveness.
- Quality Assurance & Testing: Experience in implementing quality assurance protocols and conducting comprehensive testing to ensure error-free campaign deployment.
- Proactive and Tenacious Problem-Solver: Exhibits a proactive and inquisitive approach, demonstrating a strong drive to delve into issues, ask pertinent questions and explore innovative solutions. Showcases exceptional tenacity in addressing and overcoming challenges, with a commitment to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Effective Conflict Management and Prioritization: Demonstrates exceptional ability to adapt to changing business demands, effectively prioritizing tasks to align with strategic objectives. Excels in managing stakeholder expectations and resolving conflicts, ensuring a focus on productive outcomes and maintaining strong relationships.
- Platform Migration Experience: Previous experience with migrating between different campaign management platforms would be highly beneficial.
- Effective Communicator: Able to translate and articulate complex technical solutions into simple, easy-to-understand language for non-technical stakeholders.
Must have technical / professional qualifications:
Pega Certifications: Holding relevant Pega certifications such as Pega Certified Decisioning Consultant (PCDC) or similar would be highly beneficial.
