Introduction

The Senior Loss Control Specialist provides clients with loss control services including consultation, training, and other resources to enhance their risk profile. This individual assists our production team in identifying and retaining business through the development and implementation of loss control services.

How you'll make an impact

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform workplace and /worksite risk evaluations and consultative risk improvement services which may include large and/or special accounts of some complexity
  • Propose loss control services tailored to clients and prospects needs
  • Assess client’s risk control program needs and develop and execute a customized strategy and supporting implementation plan for further refinement or improvement
  • Analyze and identify client needs and develop strategies for dealing with environmental, health and safety issues
  • Develop and conduct education, training, and presentations for internal and external business partners
  • Serve as a liaison or intermediary between client and insurance company loss control representatives
  • Prepares written correspondence, safety policies and procedures, analyses, reports, and memos as needed.
  • Assist clients with customer compliance initiatives such as PICS, PEC, ISNetworld, etc.
  • Overtime work, as needed
  • Ability to travel regionally
  • Regular and reliable attendance required.

About you

Required: Bachelor's degree or commensurate experience; 5 years' related experience in Safety, Risk, or Insurance. Ability to obtain appropriate licenses in all states where business is conducted. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Moderate travel required, including some overnight travel. Ability to travel by automobile and aircraft and work outside or normal business hours as required. Ability to perform work on varied customer properties; entails negotiating non-public access areas, climbing, lifting, sitting, standing and walking for extended periods of time.

Preferred: "Bachelor's Degree in Occupational or Industrial Safety, Fire Protection, Risk Management preferred; and certifications or ability to achieve within the first 18 months in the following are

Preferred: Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Associate in Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP). "
