Key Responsibilities & Experience Range

• 12+ years of Experience Techno functional role in Investment Banking or Asset Management firm as Lead Business Analyst, System Analyst or Data Analyst especially into Holdings Domain ( Fund Holdings, ABOR and IBOR holdings, Fund of Fund , NAV, Fund Accounting ).
• Hands-on in SQL and exposure to Data Warehouse BI technologies/ ETL stack.
• Able to understand and articulate Domain problem statements related to Fund Holdings, ABOR and IBOR holdings, Fund of Fund , NAV, Fund Accounting .
• Primary work as a lead Techno functional domain expert working with IT development team in Bangalore HUB.
• Experience in translating requirements into user stories and objectively defining acceptance criteria
• Be a tribe-level go-to person for solving problem in areas supporting investment industry data domain with familiarity of investment data and trade data. (reference/transactional/analytics).
• Follow and update Standard Operating Procedures for Data analysis to maintain quality.
• Should have knowledge of portfolio construction tools, trading desks, asset classes (like Equity, Futures, Options, FX, OTC Derivatives etc. ), funds, benchmarks, securities, NAV, credit ratings etc.
• Responsible for liaising with development team and who well understands development, integration, reporting , CI/CD implementation, test automation and application support.
• Strong problem solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Prior experience of working in a high energy Data Operations environment which resulted in positive energy and outcome of the team.
• Good organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience with Agile process of SDLC.
• Coordinate with different stakeholders to manage and maintain applications.
• Act as scrum master and report project metrics to management.

Skills & Knowledge

Qualification & Certifications

• A Bachelor’s degree (any discipline)/ MBA (Finance)/ CFA.
• Familiarity of investment data is a must (marketing/transactional/analytics)
• Strong SQL/BI Analytics and ETL exposure (to tools like Informatica, AbInitio etc) to be able to mentor and aid both business and technical teams.
• Understanding and exposure to Quality analysis/ Quality control / Testing tools is a must.
• Understanding of JIRA/Kanban/Microsoft Project is a must (to create user stories and drive epics/stories to meet organizational targets.
• Understanding and knowledge of US Gaap, IFRS , Data Governance , Regional Accounting and reporting standards will be a plus
• Knowledge of handling ETL tools like Informatica, or similar will be a plus.

Primary Skills (Must Have)

• Deep domain and system knowledge to turn customer needs into business requirements and workable technology outcomes
• Knowledge of financial market products and processes
• Experience in one or more Analyst roles previously such as Process Analyst, System Analyst, Marketing Analyst, Data Analyst , Operations Analyst
• A desire to continuously learn new techniques/technologies and bring innovative ideas to the team
• Understanding of business and Technical landscape in terms of Markets
• Experience in Quality analysis/ Quality control / Testing tools with focus on Manual/automated functional testing (mainly in financial domain)

Secondary Skills (Good to Have)

• Familiarity of ETL tools, Master Data Management tool (informatica MDM) and their relevance with investment data
• Interest/Curiosity in business analysis industry trends
• Investment guideline monitoring for both investment funds and client mandates
• Experience with Asset management will be a plus
