Job Summary

The Student Assistant will support Campus Recreation and Intramurals as a Marketing Graphic Design Assistant on the Statesboro campus beginning Fall 2024.

Student employees cannot work more than 1300 hours in a 12-consecutive month period.

This position is a part of CRI's Job Fair March 1 - 29, 2024

Responsibilities

  • Develops informative, dynamic and engaging marketing assets and visual resources 
  • Maintains the quality and positive promotion of the CRI (Campus Recreation and Intramurals) brand for programs, services, staff, and facilities
  • Designs logos, flyers, posters, and ads for events and promotions 
  • Creates graphic elements for use on social media and the web 
  • Distributes CRI printed materials 
  • Takes digital photographs at special events and functions
  • Requires all applicants under consideration to provide a portfolio during the interview process

Shift Specifics

  • Up to 25 hours per week
  • Flexible with schedule of availability

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in six or more undergraduate credit hours or three or more graduate credit hours at Georgia Southern University.

Preferred Qualifications

Preferred Education:

  • Pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Illustration, Art, or a relevant Communications field

Preferred Experience:

  • Prior experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop; basic understanding of Apple computers; experience with social media management, web design, and computer coding

Proposed Salary

$8.00 per hour

This is a non-exempt position paid on a biweekly basis.
