Product Manager, Vehicle Inventory Solutions (US-REMOTE)

As the Product Manager within CDK’s Shared Services Portfolio, one will lead the PDLC (Product Development Life Cycle) for our Vehicle Inventory Solutions. This Product Manager will work with multiple stakeholders (Marketing, Sales, Finance, Customer Experience, Product, Engineering, Customers, Partner Management, etc.) to align and drive execution on overall business strategy, go-to-market plan, feature enhancement prioritization, roadmap, revenue growth, customer satisfaction, etc. 

The Product Manager will be key in assisting with tech modernization of CDK’s Vehicle Platform as well as overall alignment of Inventory productss and experiences. This individual will be the champion for this effort and help usher CDK into a modern Inventory experience for our customers.

The Product Manager, Vehicle Inventory Solutions is responsible for, however not limited to, the following:

  • Assists in shaping the individual product requirements in support of an existing product strategy
  • Facilitates the full product lifecycle from ideation to end-to-end of life; Responsible for relevant, specific product feature requirements
  • Ensures that user personas and product requirements are defined and reflected in user stories. May also own and/or assist in Epic development
  • Partners closely with Scrum Masters and agile team on backlog grooming and ensures that timely decision-making on product requirement trade-offs
  • Translates defined product vision and Features (Epics) into user stories (based on feedback from dealers/customers and analysis of user and buyer personas) to deliver differentiated customer outcomes
  • Manages the backlog for sprint teams, partnering with R&D/scrum master in prioritization of user backlog, supporting full lifecycle from definition, beta, showcase, and retrospective
  • Partners with other CDK product managers and product marketing to articulate the value proposition for user stories and features (Epics)
  • Understands the key product success metrics (e.g., adoption, profitability, NPS, market share growth) and how they relate to user stories/Features (Epics)
  • Invests in gaining functional expertise and SME through training, partnering with more experienced CDK product managers
  • Develops and prioritizes user stories based on user/market requirements, strategy and business plan

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or equivalent industry experience 
  • 2+ years Product Management and/or equivalent experience in Enterprise SaaS, full lifecycle management
  • Agile software/DevOps methodologies and working with globally distributed teams
  • Proven success creating user stories, working with R&D and other product managers to drive end-to-end execution of product releases
  • Previous operations management and Go To Market strategies
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; Experience in facilitating customer communications
  • Ability to listen and consider the points of view of others, collaborate and build consensus with cross-functional areas
  • Strong technical aptitude, can work with R&D to translate business requirements into actionable user stories
  • Proven track record of product execution in dynamic environment
  • Must be willing to travel up to 25% of time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of the auto or rec and heavy industry, relevant customer environment
  • Pragmatic Institute Experience

Base Salary Ranges: $100,000 - $117,000

CDK Global is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
