We are looking for a Research Analyst/Senior Research Analyst to join the Emerging Markets team based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This role has the primary responsibility to conduct research and fundamental analysis of a company’s business and financial position; including cash flow, balance sheet and income statement evaluations in Malaysia and parts of ASEAN. Compiles data from multiple sources and develops financial models.

What are the ongoing responsibilities of this position?

Supports Portfolio Managers in Research & Analysis

• Conducting studies of sectors and securities
• Assembles and reviews data on sectors, trends, and individual company data including, financial performance, positioning, management, etc.

Independent Research and Fundamental Analysis

• Analyze business and financial position of specific companies or sector
• Independently conduct research through discussions with company management, competitors, customers and other industry contacts

Presentation of Investment Conclusions

• Compile data from multiple sources and develop detailed financial models on companies
• Provide written and verbal presentations of investment conclusions and buy/sell/hold recommendations to the team. 

Develop Research Skills & Maintain Industry Knowledge

• Maintain broad knowledge of the investment and economic environment
• Develop the knowledge and skills necessary for independent investment analysis and research
