What are my responsibilities?

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute project procurement of goods, supplies, equipment, and services.
  • Create alignment with participating units on procurement execution.
  • Solicit and evaluate bids and prepare sourcing decisions in coordination with the responsible interface partners such as engineering and project management.
  • Determine and formulate sourcing strategies and attain cost reduction targets.
  • Manage qualification of new suppliers/subcontractors and expansion of necessary supply base and maintain approved/preferred up-to-date subcontractor lists.
  • Lead supply and service contract negotiations on assigned medium to high and complex direct scope utilizing advanced negotiation tools and ensuring optimum impact for the project.
  • Manage project supplier and subcontractor delivery and quality performance and lead issue resolution with suppliers.
  • Review and approve purchase/service orders for the assigned scope to ensure compliance with procurement and project requirements.
  • Identify supplier risks, opportunities, potential changes, claims, and market forces.
  • Reduce third-party (supplier-related) non-conformance costs.
  • Apply and ensure obligatory Procurement regulations as per Compliance, organization standards (incl. P2P, export controls, documentation, etc.), and integration of Procurement in the project management process.
  • Ensure systematic communications (incl. reporting) with all relevant stakeholders.
  • Manage assigned procurement personnel in terms of determining functional objectives and performance criteria and monitoring target achievement.
  • Support project calculation with reliable material cost data ensuring early involvement of Procurement in bid and execution projects.

What do I need to qualify for this job?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, economics, or equivalent.
  • Supply chain management or CIPS/CPM certificate is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within a similar role in project business, preferably with familiarity with railway projects.
  • Strong strategic negotiation skills.
  • P2P, SAP, e-auction, e-RfQ prior experience.
  • Solid knowledge of legal and compliance aspects in procurement.
  • Understand local content regulations and mechanisms for procurement.
  • Fluency in both written and spoken English.
