The PEM is expected to engineering packages and projects in the Transmission and Distribution Industry in the Netherlands, following safety/quality/financial and operational aspects: technical & contractual scopes, engineering & engineering planning. She/he is also responsible for Engineering co-ordination safety, quality, risks & opportunities management to ensure the highest customer satisfaction & to secure projects Margin.

Main PEM tasks include:

• Execute project Engineering keeping high standards in Safety, efficiency, on time delivery and financial goals
• Contribute to units/projects operational performance by providing detail and basic design engineering, eng. co-ordination, management and efficient project execution and pro-active co-ordination with all stake-holders
• Business scope = Grid Solutions projects with clear focus on GIS & AIS & P&C of HV equipment ans systems

Major Responsibilities:

• Project engineering scope on HV-projects (from tender to warranty end)
• Be the prime customer contact for engineering of the contract/project
• Preparation and Co-ordination/lead of engineering projects/packages in collaboration with engineering departments (CoE, etc.), project manager, contract management, finance, procurement & other support functions
• Be accountable for On Time Delivery of engineering activities
• Follow project engineering best practices
• Monthly update on actions plan progress & forecasts
• Input and feedback for project reviews
• Contribute to EHS plan, Operation department development & Unit continuous improvement
• Lead EHS/Safety actions and performance: be fully compliant with GE rules and processes, ensure project engineering teams (own and subcontracted) are properly trained and holders of required qualifications when required.
• Follow GE compliance Policies (‘The Spirit and The Letter’) and promote open reporting
• Support Commercial team by return of experience, optimizing project costs & deliveries

Qualifications / Requirements

• Electrical Engineering degree or simular
• Excellent track-record in engineering and eng. lead in HV/MV/LV-projects
• Deep to expert engineering knowledge in HV/MV/LV/P&C-equipment/systems
• Significant experience in project-, site commissioning in Distribution and HV-Transmission Industry
• Autonomy & Rigor
• Fully fluent in dutch in word / writing (level C2 or better)
• Fully fluent English in word / writing (level C1 or better)
• good business acumen, Eng/commissioning metrics, teamwork
• High energy, positive individual loving operational challenges
• Proactivity and reactivity
