Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Local travel to project sites, no overnight travel

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

  • Work closely with the engineers and other designers to create biddable technical drawings using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare plans, sections, and detailed civil and mechanical layout drawings, including the layout of the facilities housing the mechanical and hydraulic equipment for water and wastewater projects for municipal clients.
  • Prepare piping and instrumentation diagrams and process flow diagrams.
  • Assist in the production of contract drawing submittals and coordinate with other engineering disciplines and technicians.
  • Conduct QA/QC and constructability reviews.
  • Participate in the design of major engineering projects and prepare contract bidding drawings. 

Technical Requirements:

  • Accomplished and multitalented mechanical/piping design with more than 8 years of significant experience designing public works projects including providing maintenance support for municipal water and wastewater projects.
  • Experience in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in Mechanical, Civil/Environmental Design, or equivalent.
  • Possesses knowledge of regulatory compliance, construction standards, and perform site inspections.
  • Experienced preparing mechanical contract documents, plans, and for construction project.

Other miscellaneous qualities:

  • Strong AutoCAD design skills
  • Strong team skills related to design projects
