You will be working as Procurement Manager at global grade 11 and will be part of Process Automation business for Process Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Head of Operation Centers & Quality and will be responsible for leading a team of procurement specialists to execute purchasing and logistics strategies that support the business by optimizing costs, quality and reliability of suppliers and supplied products. Ensuring execution in accordance with company and procurement instructions and procedures.

Your responsibilities

  • Implementing effective sourcing strategies in line with business strategy to ensure that suppliers have the capability and capacity to meet current and future business requirements
  • Securing full utilization of SAP Ariba platform according to relevant procedure, both related to sharing of supplier information and to finding existing high performing suppliers to ABB
  • Managing planning and tracking of procurement activities, cost budgets, emerging country spending and savings forecasts
  • Monitoring and reporting internal and supplier performance (KPIs), quality issues and development actions
  • Leveraging category teams locally, regionally and globally to ensure appropriate supplier selection
  • Guiding, motivating and developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies and company procurement guidelines (knowledge management, functional training, etc.)

Your background

  • Bachelor of Engineering in electrical or electronics
  • Require more that 15 years of experience
  • Experience in E2E supply chain management, contract management, logistics
  • Good knowledge on switch gear panels, cables, cables trays, e house
  • A strong focus on safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines
  • A collaborative, solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills
