QVC and HSN have over 18 market proprietary brands and we are looking for a thoughtful high energy, Manager to lead our Print Design and Colorist team. The individual will support all QVC and HSN brands through the design development of unique prints and color for each brand. This includes leading the print designers to design one of a kind prints and patterns and guiding color palette creation, color and strike off approval, art work designs. Job Description Details

Trend & Market Research

  • Lead the print designers with seasonal trends through market shopping, trend research and stay current with the competition. 
  • This requires domestic travel to gain knowledge of multi-market product assortments.
  • Design and lead a team to develop unique prints and patterns for QXH proprietary brands.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide specific feedback and collaborative direction with team members.
  • Coaching and listening to the print design team and colorist’s feedback, to guide and assistant with the creation of individual development plans.
  • Adhere to the seasonal time and action calendars. Work collaboratively with internal sourcing teams, buyers and technical design.
  • Approve prints, lab dips and other development materials sent from factories. Work collaboratively with team to provide feedback and clear and concise direction in order to execute approvals properly.
  • Communicate on a daily basis with overseas office, agents and mills.

Print and Color Research & Development:

  • Develop seasonal color palettes by maintaining awareness of market color direction and internal brand color selling history.
  • Research market through trade shows and trend services identifying specific print and pattern direction for the season. 

Software and Workflow Development:

  • Strategize and organize print design for all proprietary brand development meetings, and capture details to execute brand design in production.
  • Establish organized processes for workflow development and communication.
  • React to the changes in the business development environment, and lead the team through change to continue driving progress in the product for the proprietary brands at QXH.
  • Create art work designs that can be easily accessible and executed for all manufacturers.
  • Create print design and development components in PLM System. Manage and maintain all information through to final approval. 
  • Manage and maintain current software and stay in tune with future software developments and capabilities.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors in Fashion Design, Textile Design or Fine Arts.
  • Experience: Minimum 8-10 years print design and color management and leading a team. At least 5 years leading a team.

Job Knowledge:

  • Strong print design and conceptual skills
  • Strong color sense / print sense
  • Ability to quickly understand the target QVC and HSN customer
  • Ability to manage and meet deadlines
  • Ability to lead and develop others
  • Ability to quickly analyze data/situations and draw relevant conclusions to have positive effects on business in a complex environment.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to multi-task, problem solve, and think outside the box
  • Proficiency in PC operation, MS office and Excel, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator software, Ned Graphics, Spectrophotometer.
  • Must understand how to work in FLEX PLM System
  • Ability to view and differentiate the color spectrum.
