Job Responsibilities:

The Manufacturing Equipment Technician will assist in maintaining and troubleshooting manufacturing fixtures and equipment. This role will order and validate manufacturing aids such as tooling and fixtures in order to meet daily production schedules, reduce defects and enhance productivity and product quality. This role will perform equipment installations (typically benchtop) and evaluate equipment performance.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Performs a variety of duties in the electronic and mechanical areas as the primary technical support for production lines.
  • Performs preventive maintenance, calibration and alignment checks; makes adjustments, modifications, and replacements as directed.
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment such as laser welders, UV lights, adhesive dispensers, vacuum chambers, ovens, and custom designed equipment
  • Responsible for ensuring and maintaining proper stock of replacement parts and components; includes ordering and inventory activities.
  • Supports the operations supervisor as needed to ensure equipment uptime.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and to remain flexible to changing schedules and demands
  • Provide daily update on work status or problems, with recommendations for improvement or correction.
  • Assist with Equipment Change Requests to support Manufacturing Engineering
  • Assist Manufacturing Engineering with IQ/OQ/PQ on new process equipment, including developing and conducting test protocols and documenting the results.
  • In conjunction with Manufacturing Engineering and Production staff, identify new or updates to tooling, machines, and fixtures to optimize manufacturing processes and uptime.
  • Proven experience in building relationships with cross functional teams.
  • Potential for weekend and on-call support
