Join our team as a Software Quality Assurance Analyst in Toronto, ON.

Who you are:

We are looking for a QA Analyst to develop and execute exploratory and automated tests to ensure product quality. This includes designing and implementing tests, debugging, and assisting the development team in defining corrective actions. The QA Analyst will also review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics.

The QA Analyst must monitor all stages of software development to identify and resolve system malfunctions to exceed quality standards.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's or higher degree in a quantitative field, such as Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering, Sciences, or Data Science or Certification in Data Science
  • 5 - 8+ years of experience working as a Quality Assurance analyst or in a related field.
  • Proven work experience in software development
  • Proven work experience in software quality assurance
  • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases.
  • Firsthand experience with both white box and black box testing
  • Firsthand experience with automated testing tools
  • Solid knowledge of SQL, scripting, and data analysis
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum development process. Specifically testing facilitation and execution in an agile environment
  • Experience working in Azure DevOps to create and maintain.

  • Business Analysis background is required to collaborate with Business Analysts to assist in creating and maintaining business requirements as necessary.

Bonus skills and experience:

  • Experience in Commercial Real Estate
  • Experience with performance and/or security testing is a plus.

What success looks like:

  • Creating and managing test strategy documents to define “Software Testing Approach” to achieve testing objectives.
  • You will review requirements, specifications, and technical design documents with the project team to provide timely and meaningful feedback.
  • You will create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • You are confident in your ability to estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate testing activities.
  • You will perform a walkthrough of the test cases /test suites created with development team, BA, Business success team.
  • You proactively create reports on testing status and communicate to team and leadership.
  • You are confident in your ability to design, develop and execute automation scripts.
  • You will Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs.
  • You will chair and manage QA defect triage sessions with the project team.
  • You will perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • You will develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • You will liaise/collaborate with internal teams (e.g., developers, team leads, business analysts) to identify system requirements.
  • You will investigate the causes of non-conforming software and train users to implement solutions.
  • You will track quality assurance metrics, like defect densities and open defect counts.
  • Leveraging testing tools and test strategies to ensure software quality.
