Job Description:

Citrix is looking for a Designer to join our team in Raleigh or Fort Lauderdale.

We're looking for someone who has top-notch interaction design skills while also having broad interests and continuously learning and working to grow into a well-rounded UX designer. Added visual or IX design experience would be a plus.

We'd like to talk with folks who have a strong portfolio of previous work and who are passionate, collaborative, respectful, empathetic and ambitious. Your work ethic should be solution driven and pragmatic and you thrive with a learn, design, learn, iterate approach. You attack projects with a positive, solutions-not-problems mentality and know when to reach out for help from your team.

You should be able to communicate clearly about your work and discuss how and why you landed on a solution. Be excited, helpful and comfortable giving and receiving design critique. We do have data driven values and we test as many of our solutions as possible before they go on to our users.

5-10 years experience in product design and user experience roles

Additional Responsibilities:

Delivers design work on programs of any size with minimal oversight.

Effectively negotiates trade-offs with product management and engineering.

Executing design work consistent with design and brand standards, interaction patterns, analytics insight and customer feedback.

Reviews and interprets research findings and uses insights to refine and iterate on designs.

Technical Skills:

Skilled in using common design software, mainly Illustrator, Sketch and Photoshop.

Comfortable doing interaction flows and simple prototyping with software like InVision, Omnigraffle, Axure, etc.

Strong understanding of best design practices and usability patterns across platforms and form factors, ie desktop, web and mobile.

Skilled in interaction architecture practices and possesses the ability to take initial wireframes and sketches through to well executed interaction flows with supporting annotations.

Additional Skills:

Shares work to get feedback and iterates on their designs with continual review.

Collaborates as appropriate on understanding the problem or opportunity and defining action items and processes to be used.

Able to plan, adjust and work against varying types of deadlines. Finds ways to maximize the efficiency in a lean and dynamic environment.

Collaborating with other designers, developers, product stakeholders, marketing, care, and content managers to define product experience and speak up for the user.

Collaborates closely with user researchers, other designers and prototypers on the experience team to accomplish product initiatives.

Advocates the role of design in product strategy, development and customer outreach.

Understands business goals in regards to the product domain and team initiatives.

Works to broaden product and domain expertise.

Shows the ability to work well with others.

Takes ownership of the design and works closely and effectively both with the broader PD team and the Product Management and Engineering leaders

Receives, weighs, and integrates diverse feedback from a multi-disciplinary team

Able to work effectively in a fast-moving environment, juggle multiple projects, and prioritize work

Strong Presentation and Communication Skills

Must present and communicate their design work to both PD members and outside audiences.

Presents designs in a clear, confident, professional, and cogent manner to diverse audiences

Able to explain rationale for design decisions within a larger context

Regularly communicates project status and shares design iterations

Understands the mission and goals of PD and is able to communicate this to product teams
