Job Summary:

The International Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) is the primary quality interface between Raytheon and the global supply base. The SQE provides both communication of requirements and performance feedback to the supplier as well as being a conduit for Quality information across other Raytheon teams. This role involves significant onsite support for the execution of Supplier Assessments, First Article Inspection verification, Source Inspection, problem resolution, and continuous improvement activities at supplier locations within KSA. You will be a key player in the management of Supplier performance and development and represent Raytheon’s Vision, Values, Strategy and Goals in the international supply base.

This position will be located in Jeddah, KSA managing and developing Raytheon’s KSA subcontractor. Travel within KSA is required upwards of 25% or as required to support suppliers’ production schedules. This position will interface primarily with a single supplier in Jeddah, KSA, but may require support of additional suppliers and/or sub-tier suppliers throughout KSA as needed.

Responsibilities to Anticipate:

• Interpret quality requirements and assist suppliers in the development of robust processes 
• Ensure flow down of requirements internally and to sub-tier suppliers
• Assess/develop supplier’s quality capabilities throughout the product life cycle
• Identify and correct systemic performance issues
• Implement effective Root Cause Corrective Action
• Conduct collaborative communication with supplier, cross business teams and customer
• Deploy effective Supplier Quality Management techniques
• Support supplier maintenance efforts such as recurring audits, special process upkeep, and certification maintenance
• Work as the liaison between the Program and Subcontractor
• Support sell-off of Major End Items as required
• Conduct/support inspections of CFE/GFE material as well as final product
• This position will be homed at a supplier location in Jeddah, KSA.

Basic Qualifications:

• Typically requires a Bachelor’s and a minimum of 8+ years prior relevant experience, or an Advance Degree in a related field and a minimum of 5+ years’ experience
• Ability to speak English and Arabic
• Experience with Supplier Quality Management working
• Effective written/verbal Communications Skills
• Experience with commercial and aerospace / defense regulations and/or standards of a commercial equivalent with any of the following: - AS9100, AS9102, ISO-9000, ISO-9001, AS9145
• Knowledge of Military/Defense or Aerospace Industry specifications/standards
• This position is for a KSA Local National.

Qualifications We Value:

• Knowledge of General Statistical Process Control
• Knowledge of industry technical standards (such as ANSI, CMMI, ASTM, etc.)
• Certifications - Six Sigma , Lean, ASQ, ISO 9001 Auditor
• Experience with cables and wiring harnesses
• GD&T Knowledge and understanding
• Practical knowledge of Aerospace or commercial equivalent Preventative tools – APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, etc.
• Practical knowledge of Root Cause Corrective Action processes
• Experience with hardware inspection techniques
• Experience building and maintaining relationships with customers or partners (both internal and external to Raytheon)
• Communication skills that exhibit presence and influence
• Self-managed technical contributor
• Experience working remotely
