Master Network Specialist (Job Number:425342)
Performs technical tasks for network architecture planning. Supports the design, development, technical analysis, and research related to network architecture. Supports the integration of various AMCS simulation/stimulation systems, which will be used to create the training and experimentation federation for USAACE, the Warrant Officer Career Center (WOCC) and the Non-Commissioned Officer Academy (NCOA). Leads the team that performs perform Configuration Management (CM) of AMCS hardware and software utilized in support of USAACE requirements, and represent the requirements to the NEC Configuration Control Board (CCB) to establish and maintain the Tactical Training Network (TTN) that emulates the Lower Tactical Internet (LTI) as used in Army unit AMCS connectivity. Leads the team that is also responsible for maintenance, configuration, and integration of Computer Network Systems Servers for LAN and WAN, AAR, exchange servers, Web page development, SharePoint, and Audiovisual Systems utilized in support of these training systems.
TYPICAL EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelors and five (5) years or more experience; Masters and three (3) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience
15years operational experience in the development, integration, and maintenance of the Army Upper/Lower Tactical Internet (UTI/LTI) hardware and software.
Experience must be relevant to specific components of the AMCS hardware suite which includes AFATDS, ASAS, AMDWS, CPOF/TMC, EDM, and FBCB2/BFT-A.
Requires experience with distributed simulation federation connectivity and interface performance requirements.
Requires experience with KG encryption equipment, security procedures and network hardware. Experience with topologies to support diverse simulation applications.
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Certificates must include: CCNA, CompTIA’s Network+, MCP
Must currently possess or be able to obtain a Secret security clearance
