Then you are the right person to support our IT Payment Team, for which we are looking for a Product Manager (m/f/d).

The Payment team is responsible for the complete payment lifecycle, from customers first placing their orders within the Checkout to handling the refund of a returned item weeks later. Between these two points, the team interacts with a multitude of internal and external players, spanning from internal business to other tech teams and multiple payment providers in a variety of countries. The applications the Payment team maintains span from high traffic & fault tolerance api hubs to security-conscious and reliable backend processing engines.

What you will do

  • Lead and take ownership of at least one project or team, assuming primary responsibility for delivering successful outcomes
  • Operate within a dynamic, multi-application, and multi-tenant environment, collaborating closely with numerous stakeholders deeply involved in various aspects of the Payment product
  • Provide hands-on support to your Product Lead and Tech Lead by effectively managing project-related tasks
  • Skillfully manage and foster clear and productive communication with all relevant stakeholders, ensuring seamless collaboration
  • Demonstrate expertise in prioritizing and resolving operational issues, identifying technical dependencies, and assessing their impact on the business
  • Act as a role model for your team, inspiring motivation and enthusiasm while actively driving progress within your assigned project domain
  • Thrive in an international work setting characterized by a flat organizational structure and efficient decision-making processes

Who you are

  • Possess a minimum of 3 years of experience in the payments industry, demonstrating a solid grasp of post-payment processes, including reconciliation, settlement, and reporting
  • Exhibit familiarity with diverse payment methods, encompassing credit/debit cards, alternative payment methods (APMs) such as ApplePay, GooglePay, PayPal, Klarna, and local payment methods (LPMs) like iDeal, PayU, Pix, Sofort, SEPA, etc.
  • Show knowledge of industry regulations, compliance, and security standards such as PCI DSS, GDPR, and PSD2 in the European region
  • Have experience working with payment service providers like Adyen, Klarna, PayPal, PayU, Nexi/Concardis, etc and have a solid understanding of at least one of their settlement & payout processes
  • Demonstrate experience with back-end product development
  • Possess a minimum of 4 years of product management experience, including the development of product strategies, ownership of roadmap and backlog, and successful execution of plans
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders at various organizational levels
  • Have a track record of managing both projects and products effectively
  • Have strong communication, organizational, and planning skills

Additional Information

  • Working model:

Due to the upcoming tasks and responsibilities for this position, it is required to work onsite at our headquarters in Hamburg on a weekly basis. Therefore we’ve implemented a hybrid working model that allows us to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays and to work onsite from Tuesday to Thursday.
