About the team

The Effect House Design Operations’ mission is to deliver high quality design, animation, and video to promote to and communicate clearly with effect creators and beyond. We support many aspects of Effect House, including graphic design banners, motion design animations and promotional assets. Our collaborative team of 2D, 3D, and motion designers are based in LA.


About

We are looking for a mid-level Graphic Designer who will support the team with various graphic design needs. The ideal candidate should possess a great eye for design, color, and composition, with a focus on graphic design, icon design, and illustration skills. This role is ideal for someone passionate about creating engaging, fun design work for new applications, and applying existing creative skills in new ways.


Responsibilities

  • Create designs from concept to production-ready assets in accordance with the artistic direction, production deadlines, and technical specifications. These include, but are not limited to, banner designs, icon creation, social media posts and thumbnails, styleframes for motion design
  • Creation of server banners and landing page design
  • Support a wide range of graphic design needs for presentations and proposals
  • Conduct research and create trend guides or mood boards to support projects and concepts
  • Perform project updates, revisions, and maintenance as required
  • Support and collaborate with motion designers, 3D designers, and product managers
  • Communicate with tech teams to ensure efficient and accurate implementation of your designs
  • Support content/marketing department with artwork for campaigns and video challenges

Qualifications

"Minimum Qualifications

  • A strong portfolio showcasing extensive understanding of design principles and advanced graphic design skills.
  • Strong understanding of Figma and related workflows, importing and exporting
  • Expert skills in Adobe illustator, Photoshop, or equivalent digital design tool
  • Minimum two years work experience as graphic designer or UI/ Icon artist
  • Flexibility to work under a tight timeline
  • File organization and time management skills
  • Interest in the mobile app market and social media platforms
  • Awareness of ongoing trends in design and visual culture
  • Must submit a resume and must include a link to your portfolio with samples of your work demonstrating the above requirements
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal; ability to communicate in a professional and positive manner

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2D Animation skills are a plus
  • 3D knowledge and 3D design skills are a plus
  • Posses knowledge and understanding of current trends in pop culture
  • Experience working with international partners in different time zones
  • Understanding of the landscape and new developments in new media, tech, and entertainment industry
  • Experience working in a fast-changing, hands-on work environment
