Description

In this role, you will…

  • Negotiate, draft, and review an extensive range of more complex contracts including clinical study related, research and development, technology licensing and joint development agreements, as well as supply, supplier quality, commercial real estate and other agreements. 
  • Provide legal advice to clinical, research and development and regulatory organizations on issues impacting clinical and other research and development activities. 
  • Pro-actively participate with stakeholder group reviewing global clinical studies, focus groups, product evaluations, limited market releases and research award programs. 
  • Advise and keep abreast of global legal and regulatory requirements to support clinical research and performance testing for clearances, new indications and marketed product claims for medical technologies including PMAs/510(k)s. Ensure research and testing follows applicable laws and regulations and is adequately designed and appropriately prioritized to support validation and other objectives.
  • Develop strong, collaborative working relationships with the Global iTero Legal Counsel and other members of the Align Legal Department including regional lawyers supporting day-to-day activities of regionalcommercial organization.
  • Develop best in class practices including user friendly, visual, legal templates, policies, procedures, guidance documents, tools or training materials informed by continuous improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with Align’s contract management process and other company policies and procedures.
  • Perform legal research and assist in other legal matters as and when required.

  • Experience with personal data and privacy laws, experience with audits and investigations.
  • Identifies unmet needs and future challenges and proactively proposes strategies to optimize outcomes for Align.

  • Strong leadership and influencing skills.
  • Confident team player and ability to develop relationships and networks at all levels.
  • Experience of working with multicultural teams.

In this role, you’ll need …

  • 5+ years minimum post-bar experience, ideally gained within a medical technology environment or, alternatively with a top-tier law firm representing medical technology.
  • 4+ years experience drafting and negotiating technology license agreements clinical study and research related agreement for medical technologies or life sciences companies. 
  • Dental industry, imaging or scanning equipment experience a plus.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating supply and supplier quality for medical device or pharmaceutical company and commercial real estate agreements a plus.

LICENSES AND LANGUAGES

Licensed to practice law in Israel including registered foreign lawyers.

Fluency in spoken and written Hebrew and English.

LOCATION

Office based Tel Aviv (Or Yehuda), Israel– 10% travel
