As a Sr. DevOps Engineer on the Energy Services team, you will be part of a growing group of problem solvers who think outside the box and push boundaries to deliver innovative customer solutions. You will be focused on enabling our team of software engineers to deliver highly scalable, observable software and infrastructure for our industrial IoT platform. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and own best practices for infrastructure creation, application scaling, monitoring and continuous delivery
  • Automate everything from infrastructure to every day toil
  • Enable software engineers to easily access and adopt new tooling
  • Express your bias for action by identifying inefficiencies and proposing solutions
  • Work independently and collaboratively, with your team and other DevOps engineers in the organization to standardize and evangelize best practices for software delivery excellence
  • Raise our standard of engineering excellence by challenging the status quo and implementing best practices for coding, testing and deployment

Minimal Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent years of work experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience working with a cloud provider, preferably AW
  • Proven background in software delivery best practices and SDLC
  • Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform

Skills & Abilities:

  • Passion for reliable, scalable, observable software with a strong sense of ownership
  • Naturally curious and growth oriented
  • Contribute to opensource projects

Physical demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear; and use hands to manipulate objects or controls. The employee is regularly required to stand and walk. On occasion, the incumbent may be required to stoop, bend, or reach above the shoulders. The employee must occasionally lift up to 25 pounds. Specific conditions of this job are typical of frequent and continuous computer-based work requiring periods of sitting, close vision, and the ability to adjust focus. Occasional travel.

Compensation:

Generac is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The salary range for this role based in Denver, Colorado is $125,400-188,100 USD. This compensation will ultimately be in line with the location in which the position is filled. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate’s relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location.
