ABOUT YOU:

We are looking for people that believe in collective product ownership, that the product we defined always try to solve a problem for gamers, and someone who are open to mentoring and being mentored. We have multiple product teams and software services in development with interesting tech problems to solve. If the opportunity to stretch yourself and learn new skills, to have collaborative, constructive conversations with other engineers, designers, and product managers about how to better our products, and the belief that we are always trying to create better product for gamers, this might be the place for you.

As a Product Designer, you will work to develop amazing gaming software from the design concept, to the execution of products on our SteelSeries GG platform. You will be an integral part of our Product Design Department based in Chicago, made up of a team of Product Designer. Your responsibility include contributing idea to enhance User Interface and User Experience for our gamer who use GG platform.

NECESSARY SKILLS:

• 3 to 5 years or more of experience in the B2C field preferably in consumer software and/or games
• Has B2C experience, with a proven track record of designing software product and bring it to market.
• Expertise in at least one of the following facets of design: user research, service design, interaction design, or visual design
• Very strong visual design
• Has a strong background in agile product design
• You are curious and agile in your operation
• Good communicator, you know how to adapt your speech according to your interlocutors and have a keen sense of customer service (internal / external)
• You have a sense of excellence, sharing, are goal-oriented and able to work independently
• You are ambitious and want to be part of an adventure that pushes the boundaries of the web and product development

WITHIN 1 MONTH YOU WILL:

• Iterate on the visual features of the product and release our software and new features to millions of players
• Collaborate closely with software engineers, product designers, other product managers, and stakeholders around the world.
• Understand the business and how our software contributes to SteelSeries' success.
• Understand all business interactions with the Product Design Department.

WITHIN 3 MONTHS YOU WILL:

• Develop product experiences based on user feedback, iterate on UI wireframes, create prototypes, and deliver design elements.
• Have a user approach with our players by conducting interviews and research.
• Synthesize user experience feedback into meaningful actionable insights
• Prioritize user issues via product roadmaps
• Collaborate with the design team by creating a shared design system and library

• Design Product Design practices at SteelSeries
• Supporting Product Designers
• Launch more product experiences than you've ever done
