The Danone Data & Analytics organization (D&A) is looking for a Senior Product Owner for Smart Planning. Data & Analytics has the mission to deliver-leading edge, business-focused data powered products & services that will help strengthen Danone transformation & growth.

As a Senior Product owner, you will be leading the Supply Planning Data Products in the Global D2D Data & Analytics IT domain. Our vision is to accelerate Efficiency & Opportunities identification through robust Competitive insights, Optimized planning management, AI enabled demand forecasting/sensing.

In order to optimize our engagement in the important planning space, we are looking for a candidate who has a strong mix of both functional expertise in supply planning domain, and technical Cloud expertise in Data management as well as a strong understanding of the AGILE processes to help us move towards product management. The role co-creates the D2D Supply Planning domain strategy and act as a key business partner for the D2D Supply Planning team both globally & locally. You will be business facing and will design, build and manage data products related to Smart Planning (O9, IBP), APO Data Engagement, ADF AI Engine, D2D Scorecard, E2E Digital Cockpit as well as Next Gen. GPS Analytics. You are also expected to lead and supervise the data products delivery through agile product chapters & tribes.

On this position You will be responsible for:

Strategic leadership:

  • Co-drive and animate data strategy: with data product directors and business stakeholders for the business domain.
  • Data Mindset & Activation: Drives the usage/adoption of the Data products through underlying methodologies including usage of test & learn approach, user centricity, data & analytics and automation
  • External Perspective: Brings the "outside-In" by partnering with leading data and technology providers to bring industry best practices to Danone.

Delivering Change

  • Data Strategy Delivery: Accountable for the delivery of smart planning data products capabilities supporting the D2D strategy (on time, in scope, on budget). Ensure management of Data Products through lifecycle.
  • SSOT activation: Responsible for Single Source of Truth Strategy for a functional domain
  • Promotes Data & Analytics: takes an active role in promoting and communicating about data products and data strategy across all comms channels – data enabled company
  • Product Management: As a part of the move towards product centricity, it is paramount to ensure that all squads working in this sub domain also move towards a consistent approach to running AGILE initiatives as well as defining product roadmap.

Operational Excellence

  • Rationalization: Continuously challenge the status quo to drive opportunities to standardize and rationalise Data tech Landscape. Cooperate with Data Platform Leadership team on future use case staffing and required expertise/competencies. Cooperate with Solution Architects, Platform architects and Data Architects to co-lead the domain Data Architecture design.
  • Budget: co-accountable with finance team for Costs in line with Business Targets. Overlooks an allocated D&A IT spend budget of minimum 1-5Mil EUR. Design and own cost models for Data Products
  • Scoping: ensure scoping and functional design is delivered and supports project squads with delivery of strategic projects with respect of agreed timeline & budget

People Leader

  • Competencies: Ensures that the team has the relevant competencies to execute the data strategy of the domain.
  • Stakeholder management: works cross-functionally and goes beyond one’s domain to ensure business value is delivered through data & analytics
  • Teams of Team: Assure cross stream alignment in the Squad and with strategic partners of Data organisation.
  1. Manages 3rd party vendors engagement beyond reporting lines.
  2. Cooperates with Data Science team in the area of AI data product
  3. Manage team of Product Managers & Analysts
  4. Brings best practices inside the team and implements agile mindset

Experience in developing innovative data solutions, agile ways of working, intellectual curiosity, and leading small agile delivery teams are critical to enable you to be successful. Furthermore, it is important that you are a natural collaborator, who has the leadership presence to influence results and build a proven sense of collective team engagement. You will be a passionate and proven leader with the ability to gain business partner agreement, communicate confidently at both the technical and data team level, and collaborate with a wide variety of technical and non-technical teams.

Requirements:

  1. Minimum of 8-10 years’ experience in the FMCG/ Retail Data & Analytics Domain
  2. Proven Track record of Implementing supply Data products (RGM, Trade promotion management, Instore execution) & associated data products
  3. Ability to demonstrate strong expertise in Supply Planning and the interlinking to financial planning and manufacturing processes.
  4. Experience in driving data science programs and developing tools for demand sensing, market dynamics generation, accuracy of orders, delivery times and cost management
  5. Deep understanding of Demand Planning, Supply Chain Planning, Factory Planning processes
  6. Experience with Data sources: Enterprise data sources like SAP as well as external data sources like Nielsen, KANTAR, COVID etc.
  7. Experience working with Data Architects, Ingestion, Data scientists and visualization teams in an agile framework. Expert knowledge and demonstrated abilities working in squads and tribes.
  8. Strong ability to connect and federate distinct stakeholders in a complex organization, managing stakeholders from Global, Local, Business and IT colleagues.
  9. Experience implementing modern data strategies and solutions using cloud technologies (Azure, AWS, Google), Informatica Cloud, Power BI or similar tools.

Qualifications:

  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's /Masters Degree is required; a field in Computer Science, Math, or other quantitative field is preferred.
  2. A minimum of 8 years of data management / data product experience is required.
  3. Good knowledge of best in class Data technologies
  4. Experienced in Product Management
  5. Proficiency in English
  6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills -strong synthetic mind
  7. Capability to express complex data concepts into lay language for stakeholder management
  8. Excellent presentation and negotiation skills
