About the Role

As Senior Designer, B2B, you will be a versatile and nimble contributor. Key responsibilities include driving projects forward (both internally and client initiated), working as a trusted client-facing team member, and acting as a subject matter expert both internally and externally as it relates to design trends and technical matters. Under B2B leadership, you will work closely and collaboratively with your cross-functional partners.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop contract grade products consistent with seasonal trends and concepts, and customer/business needs. 
  • Products developed include furniture, lighting and tableware. 
  • Value engineer new and existing products to meet price points. 
  • Work with our international in-country product development teams and act as the main line of communication on new product designs and performance requirements.
  • Work with Sourcing and technical experts in the organization to develop quality standards for Contract Grade product. 
  • Advise on the appropriateness of different products for commercial use.
  • Manage designers, engineers, and 3rd party contractors.
  • Manage client-facing product documentation including shop drawings, cut sheets, and renderings.
  • Present to clients and foster those relationships to understand and predict their needs. 
  • Act as the product expert providing technical assistance to a broad range of cross functional teams including Sales, Sourcing, Operations. 
  • Act as a subject matter expert on the team to speak to design trends.
  • Produce and manage high quality product renderings.
  • Provide broad product market knowledge including general knowledge of competitors, quality expectations, and production processes. 
  • Proof environmental rendering for product accuracy. 
  • Manage quality assurance escalations initiating corrective action plans and communicate solutions and recommendations for the Sales/Operations team.
  • Interface with Design teams across WSI’s family of brands.

Criteria

  • Minimum 6-8 years professional experience required.
  • Degree in design or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with drafting, 3D modeling, and rendering a must (Autocad, Rhino, and Keyshot)
  • Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Outlook are essential.

The expected starting pay range for this position is $85,000 -$105,000. Applicable pay ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. In addition to competitive pay, compensation may include a variety of other components like benefits, paid time off, merit, and bonus opportunities.
