The HR Business Partner (HRBP) aligns business objectives with people strategies, programs, processes and tactics across the applicable functions/business units. This role is responsible for coaching and partnering with employees and managers at all levels in our organization, ensuring an exceptional experience through the entire employee lifecycle. The HRBP is on the front lines every day striving to make a meaningful impact to our business and our customers. This role is a fine balance between strategic and tactical work. This job requires the wherewithal to be results driven, adaptable, and to effectively manage expectations and different personalities. However, this role can also be fun and drive transformative change.

Job Summary:

The Director, HR India will be a key member of GHX’s global HR leadership team, responsible for defining and implementing HR strategies and initiatives tailored to the specific needs of our workforce in India. The Director will play a pivotal role in driving HR objectives, fostering a positive work culture, and ensuring the well-being and engagement of our employees in India. This role will be responsible for managing a team of HR professionals and collaborating closely with leadership to align HR practices with the GHX’s goals.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Global Partner: Develop and execute HR strategies that align with the company's overall business objectives. Partner with peers in North America and Europe to translate global HR strategies into actionable plans for the Indian market.
  • Talent Acquisition and Management: Lead efforts to attract, hire, and retain top talent in India. Oversee recruitment strategies, talent development, and succession planning.
  • Employee Relations: Foster a positive work environment by implementing HR policies and practices across GHX India. Address employee concerns and conflicts in a fair and efficient manner.
  • Compliance: Stay updated on and ensure adherence to all relevant employment laws, regulations, and reporting requirements in India. Implement required changes.
  • Change Management: Lead HR initiatives related to organizational changes and restructuring. Manage communication and change plans to ensure a smooth transition.
  • Payroll and HR Data Processing: Oversee payroll processing and HR data management to ensure accuracy and compliance with local regulations. Streamline workflows to enhance efficiencies and effectiveness.
  • Facilities: Oversee facilities management, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and efficient workspace. Collaborate with vendors and contractors on office expansion projects, while maintaining health and safety standards.
  • Compensation, Benefits, & Perks: Collaborate with global compensation teams to implement competitive compensation, benefits, and perks packages for employees in India, ensuring compliance with local labor laws.
  • Performance Management: Support global performance management processes, ensuring that performance evaluations and feedback are the foundation for performance at GHX India.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree in HR or a related discipline is a plus.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in HR leadership in India
  • Experience working with a global organization, including an organization with US headquarters
  • In-depth knowledge of Indian labor laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience in talent acquisition, HR operations, employee relations, and organizational development.

  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead and develop a high-performing HR team.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a dynamic and multicultural environment.
  • Experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

The compensation for this role is expected to be approximately 40,00,000 - 45,00,000 INR.
