Wondery (an Amazon company) is seeking a data-driven, highly organized, and detail-oriented Senior Product Manager with proven experience in digital media and subscription products. In this role, you will be responsible for building and executing against a product & technology roadmap to build new audio and video customer experiences, and drive improvements for our Wondery App and Website.

In this role, you will work closely with our product, engineering, content, and marketing teams to define, build, and optimize new and existing podcast discovery, engagement, and consumption features. You will launch products and features that enable our customers to enjoy Wondery podcasts and our Wondery+ subscription service across all their devices. You will gather business requirements from a broad set of stakeholders, define product requirements, write user stories, collaborate with engineering to design solutions, and approve completed work as part of user acceptance testing. You will work cross-functionally to coordinate and execute go-to market activities, campaign marketing support, triage product issues, and streamline operational tasks to ensure a smooth running customer experience. You will support the product by addressing operational gaps, identifying product optimizations, and triaging product issues flagged by our customer service team and internal stakeholders.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter with experience in product management in a subscription-oriented digital media business, strong product management skills, deep experience building technology products, is analytical, deftly navigates ambiguity, communicates well, uses experimentation to create competitive advantage, loves to get their hands dirty with technology, and has great product instincts.

This is a cross-functional role where you will have significant responsibility to drive new features and capabilities across our mobile, web, living room and voice products. Key job responsibilities

  • Provide input and drive Wondery’s digital product’s roadmap
  • Partner with a wide range of stakeholders, including marketing, product, engineering, and analytics to deliver new podcast features and capabilities
  • Gather and document product requirements for design & engineering teams, prioritize the backlog, optimize product features, and triage in-market product issues
  • Evangelize the capabilities of our product tech stack with stakeholders, providing training and support as needed
  • Coordinate with vendors to stay up-to-date with current/upcoming features that may improve our customer experience
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, new vendors, and make recommendations for product improvements and new features that will help our customer acquisition and retention efforts
  • Work with engineering and analytics to oversee the flow of data from our digital products to ensure events/attributes match intended business goals
  • Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders, including marketing, product, engineering, analytics, and customer service, to build and deliver operational support

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 2+ years of end to end product delivery experience
  • Product management experience with a digital media/subscription company, including experience operating in highly cross-functional and fast-paced environments.
  • Experience with product tech stacks such as managing in-app purchase configurations (e.g. App Store Connect, Google Play), content management systems (e.g. Wordpress), and analytics tools (e.g. mParticle, Amplitude, Google Analytics)
  • Experience in a data-driven business environment
  • Experience in all stages of the product lifecycle, including requirements gathering, user stories, wire-framing, user acceptance testing, bug triage

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools
  • MBA or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience with one or more of the following: Braze, Branch, Amplitude, Optimizely
  • Experience with project management
  • History of teamwork and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
  • Broad experience with product tech stacks such as, in-app purchase configurations in iTunes Connect/Google Play, Website CMS such as Wordpress, analytics such as Amplitude/Google Analytics
  • Positive, energetic attitude and strong communication/diplomacy skills
  • Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, COPPA, and other regulations and how they impact a marketing tech stack implementation and customer journeys
  • Experience working with external (and remote) development vendors
  • Experience working with A/B experimentation setup and implementation
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and organizational skills with experience identifying business opportunities and building a product strategy.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels
  • Excel at juggling multiple projects, staying organized and prioritizing deadlines
  • Experience working on scrum teams

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
