Position: Program Manager-Software Quality – Body & Comfort Electronics
Key Job Responsibilities:
Strategic:
- Responsible for the Component and system Quality assurance in body comfort electronics domain of MB cars.
- Co-ordinate with project manager and Supplier partners to ensure the process compliance in the project thereby improving the product quality.
- Supports assigned in-house system/component development projects to achieve the target ASPICE capability level sets by management.
- Proactive engagement and good connect with different stakeholders for better collaboration and completion of planned quality assurance activities.
- Contribute towards continuous improvement by defining and deploying quality and process strategies and sharing the best practices across domains.
Operational:
- Enhance Product Quality by defining and executing Quality Assurance strategy in accordance with organizational QMS and ASPICE standards.
- Manage, execute and track quality assurance activities according to the QA plan.
- Performing periodic Project maturity level assessment on EE release basis to identify the potential risks and deriving measures to mitigate the risks.
- Perform quality check on SW deliverables from Suppliers to ensure its correctness and completeness and deriving measures for the deviations.
- Establish configuration management plan and perform baseline check and configuration audit as per the release milestones.
- Review work products & provide feedback to ensure they meet compliance expectations.
- Moderate code quality assessment and standard SW integration review with experts
- Conducting traceability workshop with suppliers to ensure the fulfilment of customer requirements.
- Perform/validate the supplier’s ASPICE assessments.
- Performing Test Quality Audit to verify the consistency of test process and its results.
- Define , deploy and track relevant KPI’s applicable to the projects
- Escalate serious non-conformances to Senior program manage and Project organisation.
- Review MSR of the team members and provide feedback.
- Perform Process Compliance checks and deploy best practices across projects.
- Lead cross-functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed
Basic Qualification:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science/Electrical & Electronics/Information Technology
Skill Requirements:
- 8 - 12 years of experience in Quality Management practices supporting embedded system projects
- Knowledge of Automotive SPICE and ISO 26262 or any other equivalent quality standard
- Excellent Leadership skills & Mentoring and coaching.
- Exposure in performing internal audits based on ISO standards.
- Experience in supplier management and stakeholder management
- Hands-on experience in reactive and preventive quality aspects.
- Knowledge of line and warranty complaints handling and problem-solving techniques
- Understanding of Software development lifecycle and methodologies
- Strong affinity for processes and process related work
- KPIs definitions and analysis experience
- Must possess the skills to work and take Q-initiatives or independently as assigned by Quality manager.
- Strong communication & interpersonal skills & Negotiation skills & presentation skills
Additional Skills (nice to have):
- Provisional ASPICE Assessor having practical assessment and process implementation experience.
- Certified internal auditor ISO/IATF16949 or ISO 26262
- Application of Statistical process methods for the defect reduction
- Agile practices and implementation in project
- Experience in digital tools like JIRA, confluence, SharePoint, and Minitab
