One of our critical and highly visible initiatives is building and scaling industry-leading omni channel experiences for our customers for the portfolio of products our customers love (personal loan, card, auto finance, and financial wellness). We’re seeking a VP/MD Digital Platforms Product Manager to build and lead a Platform Product Management team to create innovative experiences that will impact millions of customers across our product line. 

About the role

This role requires reimagining the status quo, finding value creation opportunities, and driving innovative and sustainable customer experiences through underline technology platforms. In this role you will:

  • Set the vision for a world class platform product management practice by closely partnering with the product and engineering teams as well as actively maintaining a view of the technology landscape. Platforms include identity and access management, communications, documents management, and others.
  • Manage a team of product managers responsible for different platform products. You will attract, grow, empower, and inspire top product talent as they develop and deliver on their local product strategy in an iterative and outcome-focused way.
  • Work across product, engineering and design to identify platform solutions to mission critical enterprise problems. Partner with Technology leaders to influence architecture and drive secure, resilient, performant, and scalable technology solutions that solve material customer and business problems.
  • Be on top of the competitive landscape and trends to be able to anticipate needs and continue to develop the platform accordingly.
  • Develop and manage platform roadmaps that optimize for viability, usability and feasibility.
  • Communicate the vision, roadmap and value to all relevant stakeholders. 
  • Obsess over data, user feedback and performance and build processes to collect and manage the same. You’ll promote a culture anchored in data, used to instrument products, validate outcomes, drive insights, and manage the business both tactically and strategically
  • Identify the right KPIs and OKRs to provide an objective articulation of value and success.
  • Lead a team to the right product decisions via deep engagement with stakeholders, users, and partners.
  • Serve as a thought leader and evangelist representing the platform at internal forums.

About You

  • Product Management Expert. You have experience hiring and developing a team of product managers. You have deep knowledge and experience with technology platform management
  • Intellectually Curious. You have an appetite to learn new technologies. You’re comfortable navigating between the big ideas and executional realities to create an achievable strategic Product Vision.
  • Communicator & Influencer. You’re comfortable influencing executives and leaders as well as communicating your product vision clearly.
  • You’re biased toward action, and are willing to make commitments and trade-offs with other leaders to remove impediments for your team; you are a leader obsessed with delivering valuable in an iterative way focusing in minimum viable product
  • Passionate & Customer Focus. You care about growing others and bringing them together around what’s possible. You have a desire and ability to connect with our external or internal customers to fully understand their needs and build long lasting relationships.
  • Team Player. You enjoy working with diverse people and driving the team toward a common goal. You are also able to coach others and be a mentor in product development.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience in digital product management, or platform product management 
  • 10+ years of experience in Agile product management
  • 5+ years of experience in a senior leadership role translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing omni channel products
  • 8+ years of experience managing a team of Product Managers
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering, or equivalent degree. Master’s degree preferred

This role is Hybrid. You should be located within a committable distance to one of our offices located in Baltimore MD, Charlotte NC, Wilmington DE, Evansville IN, or Dallas/Fort Worth TX.
