Position Title: Plant Manager, Engineering

Position Type: Regular - Full-Time

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop, plan, and execute plants' capital plan in partnership with all other plant departments (warehouse, maintenance, production, quality) and associated contractors and consultants
  • Responsible for Contractor Safety Management process for the entire plant
  • Plan, manage, and lead projects to completion, manage project to cost constraints, develop realistic cost savings associated with projects, track cost savings effectiveness for two years, identify and analyze trends in technology, and confer and collaborate with other members of management
  • Develop procedures for new assets or infrastructure changes
  • Maintain the buildings and grounds to Company standards and those specified by auditing agencies
  • Plan and execute the capital, building, and grounds department budget, analyze variances and initiate corrective action
  • Manage obsolete equipment inventory
  • Supervise, motivate, train, and discipline building and grounds employees according to company policies
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending education workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional organizations

QUALIFICATIONS

In order to perform the above-mentioned tasks, the following skills and experience are required:

  • Experience working in a manufacturing plant environment
  • Understanding of process and cost improvement engineering
  • Knowledge of utility systems including refrigeration, steam, water and wastewater
  • Experience in a food processing operations environment
  • Experience tracking and analyzing key performance indicators
  • Experience improving the cost per pound of products through volume improvements, waste minimization, labor utilization, and ingredient/supply usage optimization while ensuring product quality
  • Experience reviewing and interpreting management concerns and periodic reports
  • Experience maintaining departmental expense to budget
  • Knowledge and experience with plant sanitation, ensuring a clean work environment in accordance with federal, state and independent standards
  • Experience in problem solving and root cause analysis
  • Experience with reports systems (SAP, SPC, WMS, Intelex, iAuditor)
  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or related field and at least two (2) years of experience as an Engineer or related occupation

Base salary range for this role is $120,000.00-$171,800.00/year
