Overview
The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing the user experience across a range of both external and internal web products for our clients to help deliver a simple, intuitive and overall user experience.
As the ideal candidate, you will be responsible for delivering best in class user experience, practice and methods which makes your role extremely important for our success and ensuring customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Responsibilities
- Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.
- Research and diagnose business problems /solutions e.g. usability issues.
- Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps for internal work.
- Design low fidelity and high fidelity designs.
- User Validation – verifying that the proposed solution is suitable based on end user requirements.
- Design and optimise graphic UI elements and design systems, including menus, tabs, page navigation, buttons, search fields, widgets and forms.
- Develop mockups and prototypes illustrating site format and functionality, using user experience methodologies.
- Create original graphic designs and flows (e.g. images, sketches and tables).
- Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness).
- Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback.
- Adhere to company brand guidelines and style standards on fonts, colours and images.
- Consult with project stakeholders on best practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Interaction Design, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other related field, or equivalent work experience.
Skills
- Understanding of UX Design process methodologies.
- Expert in Adobe CC, Figma, Sketch or Invision.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with various stakeholders.
- Good time-management skills, with the ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks and projects.
- Detail oriented and customer-centred problem solver.
- Self-motivated, passionate, and hard working with the ability to perform at a fast pace with minimal supervision.
- Expertise in whiteboarding/brainstorming tools, e.g. miro, MS whiteboard.
- Ideally knowledge of accessibility (WCAG 2.0,2.1)
Desired Skills
- Experience in Insurance projects
Experience
- 5+ years of experience in UX Design
- Experience in taking research, wireframes, components and other UI elements from inception to developer handover.
- Portfolio of design projects (essential)
- Knowledge of wireframe tools, design software and prototyping functionality within software such as Figma, Sketch and Adobe CC.
- Experience of designing responsive solutions ranging from desktop to mobile.
- Experience of working in Agile teams and working collaboratively with product owners, Agile/SCRUM leads, developers and testers.
- Ideally candidate would have consultancy experience.
