Job Description

Media Operations is responsible for managing NBCUniversal’s content supply chain, including ingest, QC, prep, and fulfillment to deliver content on behalf of the company’s Domestic and International properties ranging from film studios to broadcast networks and streaming platforms.

The Manager of Data & Analytics will spearhead projects and initiatives aimed at enhancing productivity within the 24/7 Media Operations. By leveraging data and analytics, this role will empower teams to work more efficiently, establish standardized KPIs, and uphold the highest reliability standards in the industry.

Blending media workflow, data analytics, and business acumen, the ideal candidate will effectively utilize their diverse skill set to support multiple high-profile projects. As a team leader, the Manager of Data & Analytics will oversee a group of data and business analysts, leveraging their expertise to support ongoing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of data and business analysts, ensuring their alignment with the strategic goals of the Media Operations group.
  • Design and implement data-driven projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing productivity and efficiency within the 24/7 operations.
  • Develop and standardize KPIs to measure and track performance, while maintaining exceptional reliability standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement data-driven solutions.
  • Utilize expertise in media workflow, data analytics, and business acumen to drive success in high-profile projects.
  • Foster a data-driven culture within the Media Operations group, promoting the use of analytics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices, ensuring that the Media Operations group maintains its competitive edge in the marketplace.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of relevant experience in media, with experience delivering data & analytics projects
  • 2+ years of experience in people management
  • Strong proficiency in developing strategic analyses, financial models, executive presentations.
  • Experience gathering & analyzing research, utilizing both internal and external industry sources
  • Background in television, film, or digital media distribution

Desired Characteristics:

  • Experience with project management and workflow systems and tools (Salesforce, Jira, Smartsheet, Microsoft Office 365)
  • Experience with working in a data first environment with tools such as Tableau, SQL and Excel
  • Acute attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal communication skills
  • Able to work well in groups or teams

Additional Requirements:

This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
