Finance Data Management Support Intermediate Analyst

The global Data Services team is responsible for many run-the-bank and change-the-bank processes. We partner with Risk and Finance to understand their data requirements for regulatory and internal management reporting. We work with data provisioning point owners to ensure timely, accurate, and complete reporting of data in the required standards. The team works on an end-to-end basis with various stakeholders to resolve data challenges by understanding root cause/thematic issues and executing solutions such as system replacements, adjustment reduction programs, data quality monitoring and resolution, as well as process design and implementation. As the business owner of GENESIS, the authorized provisioning point for contracts, positions, and balances, as it relates to Citi’s contractual Balance Sheet, Finance Data Management provides over half of the data inputs into Finance and Risk reporting processes. We also run the operational activities of GENESIS, which includes data quality scorecard monitoring, change management, adjustment processing, and monitoring of data quality on a day-to-day basis.

Finance Data Management Support Intermediate Analyst

This position will help to ensure data sourced and provisioned by Finance Data Management meets all required data quality standards. The Data Support Intermediate Analyst will assess, evaluate, and analyze Contracts Match Exceptions for Genesis, provide recommendations and drive the remediation of these exceptions. They will provide ownership and accountability in ensuring issues are recorded in the form of Data concerns and addressed in a timely manner. They will collaborate with an array of teams and groups, developing subject matter expertise and knowledge of industry practices and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Perform data quality analysis and identify data challenges for Genesis Contracts Match Exceptions ( Stubs records)
  • Participate in data quality resolution and data improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other areas of the firm to understand data challenges and solutions
  • Prioritize, support, escalate and follow through on data quality exceptions impacting regulatory commitments.
  • Conduct variance analysis on data quality improvement
  • Deliver metrics reporting on data quality issues and resolution.
  • Participate in project management activities
  • Prepare meeting materials and updates for management and consumers

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • 5-8 years relevant experience
