Equity Research Senior Associate - Industrials

Position Summary:

Jefferies is seeking a senior associate for its Electrical Equipment / Multi-Industry Equity Research team. The candidate will support the team in writing extensive company and industry research, constructing detailed company financial models, and marketing written research recommendations to clients and institutional salespeople.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Write research publications on industry trends and stock recommendations
  • Create and maintain earnings and valuation models
  • Build and maintain industry data, analyze trends, and compile findings
  • Produce marketing materials for clients
  • Attend company events, industry conferences, and trade shows
  • Develop relationships with management teams and industry contacts
  • Over time, communicate team’s stock views and industry themes to institutional investors, trading desks, and other internal constituencies within Jefferies

Key Qualifications: 

  • Strong work ethic and intellectual curiosity
  • Clear and concise written and oral communication skills
  • Superior financial statement modeling skills with demonstrated self-auditing abilities
  • Highly detail-oriented
  • Ability to work effectively in team environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
  • 2-5 years of experience in investment banking, equity research, accounting, or related fields
  • Strong academic background, with a focus on finance, accounting, or economics preferred.

The salary range for this role is $100,000-$150,000.
