JOB TITLE: Principal Member of Technical Staff

JOB LOCATION: 208 S Akard Street, Dallas, TX 75202 [and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S.; may work from home]

DUTIES: Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Broadband access technology, PON fiber technology, and traffic generator equipment. Lead team in multi-vendor interoperability projects. Perform TCP/UDP based traffic testing. Utilize speed tests and various inflection points to improve speed test performance. Work with Cloud-based element management systems for broadband network devices. Utilize L2/L3 network routing protocols. Lead designing, engineering and testing various broadband access platform solutions. Document-present engineering designs and test results for peers and executive teams. Conduct design and development work in the areas of new products/technologies, systems/platform architecture, hardware/software development engineering, technical security and QA Design/Certification. Work primarily with new and emerging technologies and technical architectures on projects with a status between inception and implementation/software maturity. Work with the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development. 

REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Telecommunications and Network Engineering, Software Engineering, or Information Technology and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or two (2) years of experience in a related occupation serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in Broadband access technology, PON fiber technology, and traffic generator equipment; performing TCP/UDP based traffic testing; utilizing speed tests and various inflection points to improve speed test performance; utilizing L2/L3 network routing protocols; leading designing, engineering and testing various broadband access platform solutions; and working with the continuous integration/continuous deployment cycle in a production environment focused on complex design, engineering and development.
