JOB SUMMARY: 

The Department of Addiction Studies, Psychology, and Social Work at Minot State University invites applications for a tenure-track Addiction Studies/Psychology position at the assistant professor level. The position requires expertise in behavioral neuroscience and psychopharmacology. The position will teach courses required for our addiction studies and psychology programs such as Introduction to Behavioral Neuroscience, Psychopharmacology, and Dynamics of Addiction. The teaching load for this position is 12 credits per semester. The person will advise students, serve on department and university committees, and make scholarly contributions to their discipline. Participation in curriculum development and program evaluation within the department is expected. Additional opportunities for teaching are possible.

Minimum Qualifications:

This is a tenure track position with a nine-month contract. The ideal candidate would have an earned Ph.D. in psychology, health psychology, behavioral neuroscience, or a closely related field. ABD will be considered.

Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given for those who have expertise in psychopharmacology related to addiction, have demonstrated excellence in teaching undergraduate courses, and commitment to undergraduate research.
