As a Civil Engineering Project Manager, you’ll manage projects and take part in quality control, client interfacing, budgeting an mentoring. You will review the design aspects including site layouts, grading plans, stormwater management facilities, water quality best management practices, and utilities. Interacting with clients, contractors, local government officials, you’ll impact the whole project - from conceptual and design phases, through the regulatory review process, bidding, and construction. You will:

  • Direct the planning and development of the project scope, procedures, and budget.
  • Prepare proposals; establish the scope of work, man-hour requirements and schedules.
  • Review proposed contracts to determine significant parameters, time schedules and mileposts and define the major task areas.
  • Maintain effective relationships with members of all divisions and departments responsible for performing services in connection with the project.
  • Manage multi-discipline site/civil projects encompassing all site utilities (i.e. sanitary, potable water, and/or storm water) as well as grading and all other site engineering aspects from planning and procurement through start-up and construction.
  • Perform water, wastewater and stormwater engineering, construction, and design assignments of a complex nature, requiring application of specialized technical expertise performed independent of other personnel; exercise professional judgment in autonomous decisions.
  • Be actively involved in civic and professional activities, societies and organizations.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years' experience in Civil Design;
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering;
  • Professional Engineering License (P.E.) required, Ohio registration or the ability to obtain within 4 months;
  • Ability to develop and mentor staff; 
  • Ability to provide a technical review of Civil Engineering deliverable;
  • Ability to interface with clients, network, and develop business
  • Proficient with software programs such as, but not necessarily inclusive of, all of the following: (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, ArcGIS, Storm modeling programs etc.)
  • Hydraulic modeling experience desired.
