About the Role:

As a Senior Account Manager, you will manage a portfolio of high-profile Optus Wholesale & Satellite clients, consisting of a portfolio of telecoms providers, carriers, and service providers with exceptional growth opportunities, role can be based in Sydney, Melbourne or Brisbane. 

You will be responsible for the acquisition of new business through innovative business solutions, whilst bringing on new customers and setting the strategic direction, service creation and go-to-market plan for Optus Wholesale and Satellite services supporting mobile, fixed and satellite product sets.

We are seeking an experienced Senior Account Manager, someone who can manage high levels of complexity and lead the negotiations within a wholesale environmentThis includes terms, pricing, and product requirements which necessitates excellent problem-solving skills to deal with complex commercial and technical requirements

Key responsible:

  • Develop strong business relationships with clients through Account Development Plans, Strategic Account Plans, and effective Engagement Strategy
  • Collaborate internally with functional teams to meet customer expectations and sales targets.
  • Provide reports to management as required including ensuring pipeline reports are completed and current, as appropriate.
  • Develop strong internal relationships with Sales Engineers, Service Management, Marketing and Commercial and other support resources across Optus, to influence the products and services, the commercial construct, the terms and conditions and the customer service offered to customers
  • Communicate customers’ needs internally, and utilise and co-ordinate all available resources to ensure follow through and provision of solutions on new products and any customer issues
  • Continuously update and improve knowledge and understanding of the telecommunications industry and that of the designated accounts.

About You:

  • 10+ years Account Management experience within the IT or Telecommunications industry
  • High levels of energy, enthusiasm, and a strong drive for results.
  • Strong business acumen and excellent financial analysis skills
  • Strong communications skills written, verbal and effective listening & strong negotiation and planning skills.
  • High levels of personal ownership and accountability, willing to accept responsibility for own actions
