JOB TITLE: Commercial Finance Analyst

SUB FUNCTION: Commercial Finance

LOCATION: Lahore, Pakistan

ROLE POSITIONING AND OBJECTIVES

The Commercial Finance Analyst’s role is to be a key support to the Commercial Finance Manager in ensuring appropriate common practices and standards to drive commercial focus and facilitate decision making.

The role, assisting managers for traditional business and new categories, is a business partner between Finance,Trade, Marketing and other corporate functions

WHAT YOU WILL BE ACCOUNTABLE FOR

  • Understanding, creation and consolidation of proposals dealing with pricing changes, promotional offers, incentives etc. to drive sales across locations.
  • Tracking promotions and conducting post implementation reviews for approved promotional activities.
  • Maintain the pricing tracker and conduct analysis to identify pricing opportunities
  • Support the Brand Finance Manager in creation of business cases and post implementation reviews
  • Collaborate closely with the trade team on special projects and proposals which have an impact beyond a particular customer group.
  • Work closely with the shared services team to ensure strong governance controls in monthly credit committee meetings.
  • Consolidate and validate the inputs (volumes and financials) for the monthly Demand Review Meeting
  • Prepare workings and commentaries for the monthly Finance Review Meeting in conjunction with the Trade Finance Manager
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, both internal (Trade, CFOM, AR/AP, Treasury) and external (Audit, Internal Controls Team).

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE

  • Degree in Accounting / Business
  • Demonstrate a basic understanding of accruals methodology and cash forecasting.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Familiarity with SAP is required.
  • Attention to detail, diligence, and resilience.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and management skills.
  • Proactive and adaptable to change.
  • Continuous drive for process improvement.

  • Establish credible and strong working relationships, acting as a trusted business and expert advisor to challenge and support the company's objectives
  • Collaborate to deliver end-to-end finance services for regions, areas, and end markets.
  • Work closely with Finance Shared Service centers to provide high-quality, timely management information.
  • Identify and actively pursue opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Flexibility to handle ad hoc requirements and work with different time zones.
