As the Director, Product Management at The Orchard, you will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of complex projects within established timelines and budgets. You will work with various teams to identify goals, assess risks, and develop comprehensive project plans that break down tasks, dependencies, and resources required for project completion. It will be your responsibility to ensure seamless communication across all departments and stakeholders, and you will supervise the activities of product managers to ensure successful results. You will also establish and maintain relationships with vendors, clients, and partners to support project delivery. This role requires a highly collaborative leader who can manage cross-functional teams while applying strategic thinking to drive innovative solutions and improve project delivery performance.

What you'll do

  • Develop project plans that define tasks, timelines, and resource allocation
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to set project goals, define scope, and assess risks
  • Create and maintain project budgets, timelines, and other key performance indicators
  • Lead overall marketing and strategy efforts across priority artists by devising and implementing high-level creative marketing plans to engage and grow audiences while driving music consumption.
  • Act as the central hub and point of contact across priority artists on the Artist Services roster. Lead all internal and external communications around project updates with the various stakeholders
  • Handle the hiring and coordination of third-party partners for artist campaigns, including but not limited to press, radio, and creative agencies
  • Administer and manage artist project marketing spending, keeping real-time track of allocation. Work with Artist & Label Services team management to measure the impact of these spends
  • Work alongside the Artist & Label Services management team to collaborate on business strategies and help create a blueprint to implement with the broader team
  • Ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
  • Collaborate with the internal Orchard teams, including but not limited to Retail, Brand Marketing, Advertising, Digital Marketing, Sync, and Radio to maximize opportunities and reach targets across given artist projects.
  • Proactively identify and activate potential growth opportunities, and viral & social moments by implementing reactive marketing tactics as artist campaigns are underway
  • Actively seek out new third-party strategic partners to further grow the team's database across the various spaces in the creative and music industries
  • Facilitate communication among diverse stakeholders, including senior management, project teams, and external partners
  • Foster constructive relationships with clients, partners, and vendors

Who you are

  • 7+ years of experience in project management, preferably in the music industry
  • Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time, within scope and budget
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to identify and mitigate project risks
  • Experience with project management software tools
  • Existing relationships with brands in engaging in the entertainment space
