Job Description
The CEDC Operations Manager is responsible for the development and execution of the EMEA Logistics strategy for the Consolidated European Distribution Center (CEDC). The position will be responsible for daily order fulfillment, and import/export compliance operation. The CEDC Operations Manager ensures that the right 3PL’s are selected, adhere to the agreed service levels, and is actively driving and developing the partnerships with them.
The position manages individual contributors in the DC location in Best, The Netherlands
The manager will align the tactical execution with the logistics strategy to make the supply chain a competitive advantage.
This position reports to the EMEA Logistics Manager
Responsibilities:
- Manage of 4 Direct FTE’s
- Planning and managing the financial budget
- Logistics performance, shipping quality and Export Import Compliance.
- Building partnerships, long-term strategy and manage 3PLS to attain goals as drawn up in the SLA
- Coordination and optimization of planning activities.
- Tracking, analyzing, and reporting on KPI’s
- Support projects such as IT upgrades, and foot printing of the logistics landscape
- Deliver of 4% productivity every fiscal year.
- Manage the day to day operational and quality-oriented processes related to Inbound, Outbound, Warehousing and Cross-Dock operations.
- Establish, develop, and maintain a high level of technical and operational excellence within the supply chain organization.
- Able to develop tactical goals and execute upon them
- Ensure the right level of business information exchanged within the organization.
- Build effective business relationship with internal and external customers
Expectations:
- Fully fluent in English (verbal and written), Fluent in Dutch language is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, or equivalent through experience and courses
- Excellent communication skills
- Advanced MS Excel skills, working knowledge of other MS Office Programs.
- Ability to run and apply various statistical analyses.
- 3 Years’ Experience in an international Supply Chain Environment with experience in Distribution Management and Operations
- Minimal 3 years people management experience
- Working experience in managing 3PL’s
- Track Record in Project Management
- Knowledge about supply chain cost drivers
- Knowledge about Import/Export Compliance legislation in EMEA
- Working knowledge about physical distribution and transportation
- Non-technical knowledge in Warehousing IT infrastructure
- SAP knowledge is preferred
