Minimum qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Economics, Operations Research, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Candidates will typically have 3 years of work experience using analytics to solve product or business problems, coding (e.g., Python, R, SQL), querying databases or statistical analysis, or a PhD degree.
  • Experience with statistical data analysis, data mining, and querying (e.g., SQL).
  • Experience managing investigative projects.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in A/B testing and causal inference.

The Waze Growth Data Science team is responsible for the product analytics and data science needs of multiple functional areas and domains in Waze, including growth and strategy, user journey and driving experience, map and community.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct data analysis to make product recommendations (A/B testing, impact analysis, cohort analysis, user personas, forecasting, etc.).
  • Define and measure the right KPIs and targets for new product features and business activities. Monitor performance and provide advice on any necessary changes or optimizations of the product and business activities.
  • Design, develop and automate reports and dashboards to provide insights at scale, for problem-solving needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand their business needs, formulate and complete end-to-end analysis that includes data gathering, analysis, ongoing scaled deliverables and presentations.
  • Deliver effective presentations of findings and recommendations to multiple levels of stakeholders, including senior management and create visual displays of quantitative information.
