The role

The role of the UI/UX Designer is to contribute to the creation, evolution and optimization of our MarTech platform, Grow, alongside our mobile optimized applications and websites ensuring seamless customer experience and successful implementation of UI/UX best practices and principles. The role reports to the Senior UI/UX Designer and is based in Gerakas, Athens HQs.

The right candidate will:

  • Produce high-quality design solutions for our SaaS platform and our other digital products
  • Present their ideas through wireframes, flow charts, storyboards, rough drafts and prototypes, depending on the needs of each task
  • Suggest UI improvements to the existing features of our products by working closely with the internal teams, seek their feedback, and incorporate it in design revisions
  • Participate in the evolution and implementation of our brand new design system
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
  • Brainstorm and ideate with the Product teams, analyzing product requirements and turning them into thoughtful flows and design solutions
  • Understand product specifications, user psychology and business goals
  • Conduct competitive benchmarking activities (user interviews, usability tests) to establish and promote data driven design solutions
  • Be continuously informed about UX trends, evaluating their relativity to Upstream’s needs and identifying ways to introduce them in our products
  • Track and log procedures, task handling and outcomes, to optimize the team’s documentation process

Requirements

  • 2+year of proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
  • BSc in a design-related field or equivalent experience
  • A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work (software, web/mobile products, etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of Figma
  • Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
  • Experience in working with design systems, styles and documentation
  • Excellent problem solving skills and familiarity with technical constraints
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to set priorities while handling multiple projects simultaneously
  • A team player that can also work independently
  • Good time-management skills
  • Team spirit and strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
  • Excellent command of the English language
