Job Description:

In the Strategic Growth, Senior Financial Analyst role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth analysis, identifying growth opportunities, conducting non-financial research, and providing insights to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, proficiency in financial and data mining tools, a strategic and curious mindset, and the ability to translate data into actionable recommendations for company growth.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Strategic Financial Analysis:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with overall business objectives.
  • Lead and manage strategic financial analysis ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Advanced Data Analytics:
  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative analysis to extract meaningful insights from large datasets.
  • Provide actionable recommendations based on data-driven findings to drive strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with data science teams by implementing cutting-edge analytics into financial decision-making.
  • Enhanced Financial and Business Modeling:
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated financial and business models to support subscription and financial forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Advertising Sales, Customer Care and Product Distribution, to integrate data into the models.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and ROI assessments for strategic initiatives.
  • Perform scenario analysis to assess potential outcomes and risks associated with different growth strategies.
  • Establish and maintain dynamic financial models that adapt to evolving business needs.
  • Performance Optimization:
  • Monitor digital and print performance metrics and provide regular reports to management.
  • Implement strategies to optimize financial performance, driving profitability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Strategic Financial Forecasting:
  • Contribute to the development of financial and volume budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide variance analysis and insights to explain deviations from budgeted performance.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership to communicate complex financial information effectively.
  • Serve as a key liaison between financial teams and other departments to foster a cohesive understanding of financial goals within departments.
  • Strategic Advisory Role:
  • Serve as a financial advisor for digital initiatives, providing guidance on financial implications and potential ROI.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of financial analysis methodologies.
  • As a project leader, assess financial risks associated with projects and provide recommendations for risk mitigation.
  • Industry Research:
  • Conduct in-depth research on industry trends, developments, and emerging opportunities.
  • Analyze the competitive landscape to identify market positioning and potential areas for opportunity.
  • Compile reporting on market dynamics with insights that contribute to strategic decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field with 4+ years of progressive experience in finance or strategic growth role; a Master’s Degree with 2+ years of experience; or 8 years of related experience with no degree.
  • Preference given to a proven leader with 4+ years of experience in strategic analysis, investment banking, private equity, consulting, or related roles.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analytic tools as well as emerging technologies.
  • Experience using Sequel (SQL) strongly preferred.
  • Experience in data visualization techniques and tools such as Power BI.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
