A Snapshot of Your Day

  • Responsibility for planning / coordination and execution of testing according to test requirements for air compressor’s according to SE standards and international standards (ASME PTC -10 & VDI 2045)
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and instrumentation and validation software/codes and working knowledge with testing data
  • Knowledge of testing scope and recommendation of instrumentation to meet requirements.
  • Securing compliance with internal Testing processes / international codes
  • Data acquisition during testing
  • Testing setup of mechanical, electrical & instrumentation items and corresponding data acquisition
  • Collecting test data during the entire test operation
  • Prepare a test procedure for air compressor.
  • Evaluation of the test data and prepare a test report.
  • Experience in rotating equipment testing.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Expert knowledge about diverse measurement techniques and data acquisition systems
  • Knowledge of operation of rotating equipment and balance of plant items for air compressors
  • Knowledge in Programming and experience in working with testing data:
  • Experience with Databases
  • To ensure that all Quality Control procedures and work instructions are in practice in respective area.
  • Authorized and accountable to develop, review, testing, qualify, Approval of Inspection Test Plan for IGC (GC/GV)
  • Authorized and accountable to develop, review, testing, qualify IGC (GC/GV) assembly / testing procedures as per SE standard, client /code requirement.
  • Co-ordinate with SE-Germany for any query / clarification needed during project execution.
  • Ability to demonstrate process control during assembly & testing.
  • Interaction with client for query related test arrangement and test criteria.
  • Corrective & Preventive Actions for Quality issues
  • Prepare checklist for inspection activities & Inspection as per SE standards, Drawings, and related specification.
  • Reading of Compressor & Package Engineering drawings.
  • Keep up to date, optimize testing processes, plan for strategic improvements, and enhance company profitability.
  • Work with manufacturing services team to develop regular maintenance and inspections on the equipment and materials.
  • Ensure compliance of IMS in respective work area.
  • Drive the RCA investigation of Quality incidents related to IGC testing.
  • Provides client Quality assurance for products and services and assist in assuring the achievement at the optimum Quality costs.
  • Participate in internal and external client inspections. Participate in Quality intercompany meetings.
  • Co-ordination with FSR for resolution of testing related issue, if any.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s in mechanical or production engineering or equivalent experience
  • A minimum of 10-15 years in a Quality Control / Assurance Engineer or Testing Engineer position within a technology organization, preferably similar IGC product experience.
  • Experience in preparing and verifying IGC test procedure, assembly record and test checklist.
  • Good organization skill includes time management, systematic reporting skill and systematic record keeping and report writing.
  • Systematic interpersonal skills, Advance English skills
  • Understanding and defining client needs is paramount.
  • Ability to work in flexible scheduling to meet business needs.
  • Demonstrates excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Project.
  • Ability to facilitate cross functional teams through process development activities.
  • Ability to travel as and when required.
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing methodologies.
  • Self & quick decision power
