The position is responsible for ensuring all aspects of the India HR function is carried out in an efficient and effective manner in coordination with VP, Human Resources. This role is responsible for setting the tone to aid in developing HR strategies and providing sound advice to the Global Human Resources VP and Country Manager of India; with responsibility for ensuring that regional and global business priorities are achieved through the established HR strategy and frameworks. This position acts as an advisor to the India team in matters relating to management strategy, staffing, performance management, employee relations and professional development. In addition, this position will be involved in the creation and implementation of various HR programs and initiatives, working closely with other members of the Global HR team. This position will be liaising with leaders and employees to support local operations; and working to ensure global initiatives are effective, locally tailored and compliant. 

This role requires a collaborative, results-oriented individual who is able to balance multiple priorities and make decisions. A true hands-on approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the employees to ensure a high level of employee engagement. Experience in a global, rapid, complex and ever-changing work environment with a high-volume workload is a must. This role requires someone to be dedicated to developing a strong, diverse and collaborative organization, have a strong work ethic, a passion for managing the details within a growing global business and willing to contribute where/when necessary, including the ability to roll up your sleeves.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide expertise, guidance and coaching to leaders managing highly sensitive and complex employee relations matters, including terminations, people issues and trends and all things People related.
  • Investigate employee complaints, discrimination charges and assists in the resolution of employee issues.
  • Oversee the administrative development of the new hire procedures, on-boarding and record keeping storage in partnership with Global Onboarding.
  • Provide information for and participate in audits of HR related information
  • Enhance capabilities of leaders through coaching/training and assist with team effectiveness in partnership with Global L&D.
  • Proactively provide individual employee coaching and guidance on career development, based on a strong understanding of a person’s interests and aspirations and knowledge of our business.
  • Work with Total Rewards Manager and broker on benefit plan changes/design, carrier selection, contribution strategy and problem resolution.
  • Consult with business leaders to promote the hiring, onboarding and retention of a qualified and diverse workforce.
  • Lead and support cross-functional projects as needed; assist with the communication and rollout of updated or new people programs and policies.
  • Build deep personalized relationships with leaders and employees, and proactively support our people through their life, career and project experiences.
  • Lead succession planning and talent development strategies, identifying critical roles and preparing potential talent and pipelines for mentoring, training etc.
  • Attend and actively participate in leadership and management team meetings and discussions.
  • Communicate frequently with Legal and VP, HR to ensure local compliance and consistency with Company and HR related policies.

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES

  • 5+ years of experience as an HRBP/HR Manager, preferably in a global, dynamic fast-growing technology/software business
  • Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Human Resources or related field
  • Ability to establish solid relationships with all levels of an organization, strong influencing and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate resolutions
  • Demonstrated knowledge of applicable laws and regulations related to HR and general business practices
  • Able to create, analyze, report and manipulate data as it relates to HR metrics
  • Excellent leadership, problem solving, project management, communication, listening and presentation skills
  • Self-directed and motivated
  • Knowledge of HRIS or related HR technologies
  • Proven track record of driving results
  • English is the company language, but additional languages will be highly regarded
  • Understands the “big picture” and can juggle many priorities
  • Willingness to get into the detail and capable of evaluating operations first-hand
  • Strong sense of urgency and drive to produce results
  • Full understanding of the way an organization operates to meet its objectives
  • Thorough knowledge of human resource management principles and best practices
  • A business acumen partnered with attention to the human element
  • Diligent and firm with high ethical standards
