What you'll do

You will be a hands-on analytics leader for DocuSign’s SEO/SEM marketing channel. You will measure, benchmark, and play a critical part in continuously optimizing key user journeys including, but not limited to, free trial sign-up, self-service purchase (e-commerce), and upgrades from freemium to paid models worldwide. You will partner closely with fellow analysts, product managers, and business partners to socialize the end-to-end customer journeys across various experiences. You will use this knowledge to analyze performance and identify and size opportunities for growth and improved customer experiences across channels and experiences.

You will excel as a trusted advisor, creative problem solver, and exceptional problem-solver with a demonstrated ability to structure and navigate complex problems and processes. You can simultaneously think strategically and take a hands-on approach to deep dive into our data to deliver high level or detailed well-structured models and analysis depending on the business need. You will succeed by combining analytical insight, technical proficiency, business acumen, and the ability to collaborate and influence your key partners and cross-functional teams.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Performance Marketing Measurement Director.

Responsibility

  • Lead analytics (i.e become Subject-Matter-Expert (SME)) on search marketing channels (Organic & Paid) and map customer journeys of these segments across our website and platform and use these insights from acquired knowledge to influence SEO optimizations, keyword bidding, marketing budget and drive channel optimization for performance marketing function
  • Assist with managing and improving processes for identity resolution, tagging, and other tracking parameters to gather meaningful data (Google Analytics, Mixpanel)
  • Build relationships and partner with cross-functional teams to enhance existing analytics models, pipelines and dashboards, create additional metrics, reports and/or visualization based on evolving business needs, and support these teams in driving their OKRs
  • Identify patterns/trends/insights to support business outcomes and short/long-term strategy development
  • Apply business insight and analytics techniques on ambiguous business problems to unearth areas of opportunity and size potential impact
  • Own experimentation roadmap for search incrementality testing: identify and prioritize opportunities with marketing managers, write test charters, and provide test analysis and recommendations to collaborators
  • Partner with cross functional teams such as data science, data engineering, product analysts, experimentation and instrumentation teams to contribute to advanced models (MMM, MTA), data pipelines and instrumentation, and build testing roadmap

Job Designation

Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring

Basic 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field (Statistics, Finance, Math, CS, or related) with 8 years of relevant experience in customer behavior analytics or Advanced Degree in a quantitative field with 6 years of relevant experience
  • 5+ years of SQL skills with excellent hands-on exposure to creating complex queries across multiple database schemas
  • 3+ years hands-on experience with performance marketing analytics with a focus on SEO and SEM optimizations
  • Experience with SEO analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, BrightEdge, SEMRush etc. and familiar with SEO strategy and keyword research
  • 3+ years hands-on experience in A/B testing and experimentation with history of arriving at conclusive results
  • Experience with Statistics concepts and analysis, e.g., hypothesis testing, regression, experimental design, etc.
  • 3+ years of experience creating data visualization dashboards in Tableau, Qlik, or equivalent
  • Experience applying both qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques
  • Experience with spreadsheet modeling including pivot tables and complex formulas

Preferred 

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to communicate complex data analysis, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Comfortable with loosely defined requirements where you exercise your analytical skills to collaborate with the rest of the team to build solutions
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with statistical testing such as A/B, multivariate, and Bayesian testing
  • Experience optimizing digital experiences to achieve world class conversion rates
  • Good familiarity with the principles of data science and data engineering
  • Attention to detail with focus on data quality, data consistency and criticality
  • Advanced data analysis skills – e.g., database query construction, data warehousing, forecasting, data mining and experience in business analysis
  • Exposure to big data platforms – Snowflake, Redshift, Azure, Matillion, Alteryx, etc.

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $130,500 - $208,050 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $123,700 - $174,700 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $123,700 - $184,275 base salary

This role is also eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
