Apex Group has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and collaborative AVP - Team Leader India Payroll to join our inclusive and thriving team. This full-time AVP-team leader role is based in Pune and offers an attractive salary and benefits package.

Reporting to the Head of Payroll - APAC, you will be responsible for the governance of payrolls in India and be the regional payroll expert. You will perform and coordinate a variety of duties and tasks, including partnering with the India HR and Global Payroll teams to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all India payrolls, which are fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.

  • Partner with the India HR and Global Payroll teams to ensure the timely and accurate processing of all India payrolls, which are fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Be accountable for the sign-off for India payroll cycles
  • Monitor and assess changes to local laws, and regulations and for their timely application within the payroll processing environment
  • Take ownership of vendor management for all providers within the India region
  • Be responsible for the management, training and development of the payroll team.

  • Experience leading teams and working in a matrix environment
  • Demonstrated experience in leading teams working in shared service environments

  • Extensive knowledge of all aspects of Indian payroll, tax and labour law compliance.
