SALARY: $39.57/ Hour + Shift Premiums

LOCATION: Delta, BC

SHIFT: Rotating: 2 Weeks Day Shift, 2 weeks Night Shift, 5 days a week at 8 hour/shifts

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Primary responsibility is to operate CO2, Boiler, Steam, and Air systems in accordance with Standard Operating Procedure
  • Perform corrective and preventative maintenance on industrial equipment in a production environment
  • Preventive maintenance of high-speed packaging equipment
  • Work as part of a team to troubleshoot and repair equipment, including disassembling and reassembling machinery, overhauling gearboxes, and replacing bearings, etc.
  • Maintain a preventative maintenance program for plant equipment
  • Be part of an effective work planning process that utilizes work orders, planners, and part staging
  • Maintenance documentation update
  • Respect of plant policy (Safety, Environment, Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points
  • Perform work in a manner consistent with plant safety, housekeeping standards, and quality checks

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven mechanical and troubleshooting skills; Prefer 3 or more years’ experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance
  • A Valid 5th class Power Engineering certificate a minimum. 4th Class Preferred
  • Willing and able to work rotating shifts (days, afternoons and midnights), overtime, weekends, and holidays. Shift premiums will apply
  • Ability to set up and operate all machines common to the trade and ability to operate equipment including lathe, vertical mill, band saw, drill press, etc. Welding experience an asset 
  • Experience with Servo Motors, VFD and Controllers, and PLC Controls of various Rockwell Automation Platforms considered an asset
  • Outstanding work ethic with exceptional discipline, attendance, and safety record. Level 2 First Aid an asset
  • Self-starter with an ability to work with limited supervision
  • High energy and initiative, with strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Comfortable with a fast-paced environment
