The Role: Senior Software Developer - Salesforce

As a Senior Salesforce Developer with the Commercial Technology team, you will be responsible for developing & providing support across a variety of products within S&P Global. Together, you will build scalable and robust solutions using AGILE development methodologies with a focus on high availability to end users. You will be collaborating with business, functional, and technical team while participating in the software development process (SDLC).

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver solutions within a multi-functional Agile team.
  • Achieve an understanding of customer environments and their use of the products.
  • Lead the design discussions and support scrum team to resolve technical challenges.
  • Perform code review and guide the team with best practices.
  • Provide recommendations for new product feature and pilot software modules to enhance the current implementation.
  • Apply software engineering practices and implement automations across all elements of solution delivery.

What we’re looking for:

  • Should have a good understanding of Agile delivery principles and the importance of SDLC (Software Development Process) and coding methodology principles.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills.
  • Possess a true “roll up the sleeves and get it done” working approach; demonstrated success as a problem solver, operating as a client-focused self-starter.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Salesforce CRM development experience with deep understanding of Object-oriented programming.
  • Having knowledge of Lightning components, application, events, and component-to-component communication.
  • Should have good knowledge on Angular JS, jQuery, JavaScript, CSS, XML, HTML and DHTML.
  • Need hands-on experience in deployment methods like Copado, Changesets, Force.com IDE, Ant Migration Tool (using package.xml and build.xml).
  • Ability to resolve serious performance related issues through various techniques, including testing, debugging, and profiling.

Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering - preferred
  • Salesforce Certification – preferred
