Job Title: Technical Executive

Job Summary: As a Technical Executive, you will be responsible for providing technical support and expertise within a commercial real estate (CRE) organization. You will work closely with the technical team and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of building systems, technology infrastructure, and related equipment. Your role will involve troubleshooting technical issues, coordinating repairs and maintenance tasks, managing service contracts, and implementing technology solutions to optimize operational efficiency. Your ability to communicate effectively, adapt to changing priorities, and resolve technical challenges will contribute to the success of the organization.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support:

  • Provide technical expertise and support to internal teams and stakeholders, including troubleshooting system issues, resolving IT-related problems, and assisting with equipment installations or upgrades.
  • Collaborate with the technical team to ensure effective response and resolution of technical support requests within defined service level agreements.

Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Coordinate and oversee maintenance tasks and repairs for building systems, equipment, and technology infrastructure.
  • Work with vendors, contractors, and internal teams to schedule maintenance activities, track progress, and ensure timely completion.

Service Contracts:

  • Manage service contracts for maintenance and repairs, ensuring that agreements are in place and requirements are met.
  • Monitor vendor performance, negotiate contract terms, and identify opportunities to improve service quality and value.

Technology Implementation:

  • Assist in the evaluation, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions to improve operational efficiency.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and trends in the CRE industry and recommend appropriate solutions to enhance productivity and streamline operations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of technical activities, including service requests, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Prepare reports on maintenance, technical incidents, and system performance to provide insights to management and support decision-making processes.

Training and Knowledge Sharing:

  • Provide training and support to end-users on relevant technical systems, tools, and processes.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with colleagues to enhance overall technical capabilities within the organization.

Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and industry standards, including data privacy and security protocols.
  • Collaborate with the IT and security teams to implement and maintain appropriate security measures for systems and data.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in providing technical support and managing technical operations within a CRE or similar industry.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, technology infrastructure, and related equipment.
  • Familiarity with computer networks, hardware, and software applications commonly used in the CRE industry.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
  • Strong organization and time management abilities, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in utilizing computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and other relevant software applications.
  • Adaptable to changing priorities and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., ITIL, Microsoft Certified Professional, CompTIA A+) are a plus.
